AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk — Local services in Overland Park

This was my first ever visit to the new Advent Sports Park. It was a Friday, and the parking lot was jammed. Upon entering the facility, I was immediately impressed with the presence of a main reception desk where visitors can ask questions and get directions to help traverse this vast complex. Walking further, I noted a large arcade section fully occupied with hordes of young people. Slightly farther along, I noticed a small bar and eating area. You can order food from the bar, and it will be prepared from a kitchen located elsewhere, and delivered right to you. To the left of the bar is a ten lane bowling alley. To the right and across a large hall, there is a massive array of several basketball courts, maybe five or six in all, and they were populated with teams of young girls participating in organized leagues. Winding my way back towards the entrance, the doors to an ice skating rink loomed to my left. I also noted a long, wide staircase going up to the second level. Short on time, I continued on to the reception desk. I inquired about the facilities upstairs, and I was told they included a large main bar and a second bowling area. I left the Sports Park very impressed with the variety of activities available within and thinking that it would be an ideal place for a leisurely family outing because it offers something for everyone. I visited this location this past Saturday and the customer service was very poor. I approached the counter, the young lady was Helping another group of customers and when she finished she walked past me and help the YT lady before helping me. I waited until she finished assisting the lady, and I asked her so you didn’t see me approach the counter b4 that lady. She replied I assumed you were with the group she had just finished Helping… I was like you couldn’t have assumed that cause I’m still standing here waiting to be Helped… 2nd the Bartender walked up & down the Bar Not even acknowledging me and my guess, then he finally comes after playing with the not even washing his hands, we had to suggest he wash his hands 1st I ordered a Tequila with Sprite & Lime and it was Not worth $15… 3rd I ordered cheese sticks which came out cold sent them back the manger brings out another order stating he brung me out the order that was after mine… this place is too pricey for this sort of customer service…I was very dissatisfied with...

Establishment has a nice set up but they’re very disorganized. I had a reservation on an assigned bowling lane at 5:45, when the time came the lane was still being used. I went to speak with staff at the counter and was told there was nothing they could do about it. Once a manager got involved, we were able to get on the lane.

Even after management was involved, the staff member was still acting confused and hesitant on switching us to another lane that was readily accessible. The staff member just kept informing us that someone else had a reservation at the same time and to just wait. Though, the manager instructed her on exactly what to do.
