TLDR: Three lies: no curbside service, no contactless payment, it was not “packed” ... hardly a business I recommend you visit during a pandemic.
Cannot speak for all locations but was extremely disappointed in the service I received today at the 107th/Roe location when picking up my party tray. I ordered and paid online yesterday to ensure the contactless payment featured on the website. Called today when I arrived and asked if my order could be brought to my car as it says on the website that they are offering curbside service. The gentleman who took the call told me no that they were busy, short-staffed and packed so they could not. So I brought my toddler inside the store during a pandemic. They were definitely busy filling orders (it was 11:15 on a Saturday) and there were only two people working but it was not packed. In fact the only other people were a woman and her daughter who walked in just before me. So I waited and then finally spoke up that I just needed to pick up my party tray that I could see behind the counter. AND THEN they made me sign for the order with a pen that I have no clue if it had been sanitized. And then, the gentleman (who I don’t think was the one that answered the phone) offered to take my order to the car seeing that I had my hands full with a toddler in one arm. I declined, quoting the previous conversation that they were “too busy, short-staffed and packed” to bring my...
Read moreI love Goodcents, but had a very bad and odd experience at this particular location. I have not been back, but would like to give potential customers a heads up. First, let’s start with the good stuff! The location is always very clean and the staff is usually exceptional. Even when they have long lines, they are able to work through them quickly.
Now to my unfortunate experience. I ordered a salad. My total came to over $10. I thought it was really expensive because the salad was tiny and mainly shredded lettuce. When I asked for my receipt, the cashier did not give it to me right away and acted very strange. When I got to my table, I realized I was actually charged for a sandwich; which is significantly higher than a salad. When I went back up to ask, the same cashier was arguing with a young man about his order. He was being charged for a larger sandwich than what he ordered. She called him dishonest because he didn’t notice the error before they proceeded to make a larger sandwich than what he had ordered. They were very busy and after seeing the argumentative nature of the cashier, I decided that my $2-$3 wasn’t worth arguing with her. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth, so I haven’t been back to this location. If you want a good sandwich and are in the area, I would recommend it. However, just be on alert and check your prices so you aren’t...
Read moreI only gave this location one star because zero stars isn't an option.
We placed an order over the phone from your Leawood store around 11:00 am today, June 25 2015 for three sandwiches. Around 12:30 pm we called to check on our order because it still hadn't arrived. The woman who answered confirmed the order and notified us that the order was on it's way with the driver and should be here any moment. Around 12:50 pm I called the location again and spoke with the manager. He said he needed to call the driver and find out his location. I NEVER heard back from him. I called the manager AGAIN at 1:00 pm and was told by the manager that our food should be here any moment. I called AGAIN at 1:20 pm and was told by the manager that all drivers had returned and that there was no order in existence for us. HOW CONVENIENT! OVER TWO HOURS OF BEING TOLD OUR ORDER WOULD BE HERE ANY MINUTE AND IT DIDNT EVEN EXIST for "some reason".
We will NEVER be ordering from Goodcents again. Absolutely...
