Ordered through the app for delivery and my order was confirmed at 11:56am. For those who might be unaware, Jimmy John's no longer offers free delivery for their orders, but I was willing to pay the extra $4 for it on this day. Thank God I wasn't trying to get my order before needing to get back to work because "freaky fast"? It was anything but.
At 12:57pm, with still no order in sight, I call their store to check if something had gone wrong. The employee just asked me if I wanted it voided. No...I would like the sandwich I bought. He proceeded to inform me that it was him and one other employee working so my sandwich had been sitting there for the past hour waiting for the delivery driver to make it back. This by no means is a fault of the employees, but more to do with the owner/manager of this location.
Here are some thoughts on how management might be able to better solve this issue without even needing to hire more staff:
Do not offer delivery if you cannot provide delivery. Charge an exorbitant amount for delivery so that customers no longer want to choose it. Call the customer with the provided contact information on the order to inform them that it will be over an hour for their soggy product to arrive to them and ask if they rather void the order. Do not allow delivery to be an option online or on the app during peak business times so that your driver has time to get to each destination.
Hopefully something can be changed. I've seen location after location close and would hate to see Jimmy John's become the...
Read moreThis used to be an ordinary Jimmy Johns, but it's like they turned into the world's worst location overnight. I went here for years and it was normal, but the last several times in a row they've been out of meat and been FREAKY SLOW. I gave them the benefit of the doubt at first, but today was the last straw. I waited in the drive thru for 45 minutes today. Let me repeat that: FORTY. FIVE. MINUTES. In a drive thru! I could have gone to a fancy sit-down restaurant and gotten out quicker. A few of the cars in the very back were able to get out and leave, but I was too far in by the time I realized the line wasn't moving anymore (it's just one lane that goes behind the store, and the next chance you get to leave is when you're basically already to the window). I was late for work because of these guys, but I was just thankful I didn't run out of gas in the drive thru line. Obviously I won't be back, but if you're reading this, I'm trying to spare you. You've been warned: they're always running out of stuff AND you might endure a 45 minute drive thru wait. Unthinkably slow, and no one even mentioned anything about the wait. I mean, you could at least offer a quick "sorry, we're understaffed" or whatever if you're gonna trap people in the drive thru for...
Read moreWe ordered lunch for our staff from here. I called after 45 mins of waiting for the food. They were very rude on the phone. They first told me that we have never ordered from them and didn't have the order I placed online. Then they came back and said Oh, your order is with the delivery guy. They had no idea where the order was and when it would be here. So an hour rolls by and I call again to just get a refund that way we can just order them something faster since we waited so long. Paul gets on the phone and first, blames me for ordering so many subs. Tries to tell me everything else under the sun that does not hold them accountable for what is going on. We have ordered from other Jimmy johns and they have been so helpful and communicate with us about our orders when we call about the time and are very polite. This one just wasn't willing to help. THEN when the guy finally did show up he was rude as hell! just tossed the box to my assistant and mumbled something and left. The food was all made wrong and I was embarrassed to give it to my staff at this point. We have allergies and things we have to worry about here and since the food was all made wrong we...
