I was excited seeing the website and really thought there would be some upscale food at this place. I joined the email list and got a free appetizer. I ordered the sliders and the sausage flatbread pizza. The sliders tasted ok, applebees or chili's tier quality. The flatbread tasted kind of like a red baron or schwans frozen pizza style thing. It wasn't the worst food I've ever eaten but nowhere near anything more than meh. I thought I'd give a second chance as I got another email for a free appetizer. I ordered a steak quesadilla. Had I paid, this would have been $18. Everything about this quesadilla was abysmal. I'm pretty certain it was microwaved, the steak was flavorless and chewy, the salsa was as plain jane and basic as you can get. It's a shame they can't get a good restaurant in there, the green mill was pretty decent when it was open, they basically just picked their hours or when they would answer the phone. The current restaurant seems very clinical and stale, it even smells like hotel when you open the door, you'd expect the smell of food. 2/5, not going back, sorry. Hours after eating this garbage quesadilla I can still taste it. I feel a sense of loss having this "food" enter my body. If I could rewind I wouldn't have taken the free food. Whoever calls the shots on this should consider how garbage the...
Read moreUnfortunately our first experience was not a good one. We were greated by Bobby the bartender at 4pm on a Wednesday who told us he was the only one there as the Manager had just quit. The hostess left and no waitresses had shown up. We were the only two there at the moment so we ordered our wine. Another customer came in ordered her drink at the bar and got it, then we got our wine and somehow a Pinot Grigio turned into a Rose but it got drank. Our third party arrived along with other patrons. She got her drink all was well. Our 4th party arrived and ordered her drink. A Chardonnay since the Pinot Grigio was not. He brought two glasses of chardonnay and said oh here's the chardonnay you originally ordered. Well um no, that was a Pinot Grigio. Again it got drank. More people showed up and the bartender left and told a customer he quit as we all watched him walk North across 87th and never come back. Eventually a waitress showed up but was so far out of the loop it didn't matter. The cook came out to apologize (40 minutes after we ordered) that they had no fries. The waitress finally got us another drink and the new bartender came out and apologized and they did comp us for all the drinks. Food was just ok. Needless to say, we...
Read moreWe absolutely loved Bennigan's Monte Cristo we used to drive about 50 minutes just to get the Monte Cristo at Bannister Mall. Although other places say they have Monte Cristos, they're not the same as Bennigans. It was so fantastic to come here and get the Bennigans Monte Cristo again. I was afraid you would have changed it, but no, it was the same fantastic sandwich with the same fantastic raspberry jam. The service was great, no complaints there. Our waitress attentive, but not too attentive. The only real complaints that I have... the bartender didn't seem to know what he was doing and it was a little chilly in the restaurant to be honest. To me those are minor things to get my Monte Cristo again. We...
