What a waste! I really like a place called Caspian Bistro, a friend recommended this as a similar style of food. After reading over the website and deciding on the buffet to try a better variety of stuff, a friend and I decided to go over on Saturday 10/06/12. Before moving on, I should mention this direct quote from the website, "We offer All You Can Eat Buffet everyday for lunch and all day on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays." We arrived at about 11:45, open time was 11, and were seated. After being seated, we told the waitress we would both be having the buffet. She walked away saying nothing and we were left there wondering about whether we were just supposed to just start at the buffet or wait on something. The reason we didn't just get in without asking was because there were metal lids on all of the hot dishes. After standing there awkwardly for a few moments, we were approached by a man who told us that we would not be able to get the buffet, and that we were welcome to order off of the menu instead. When asked why, the man proceeded to tell us that there was a party of 60 coming in at 12, and that the buffet was all ready for them and it was private, pretty crappy news after making the 40 min drive over there! I tried to talk to the man and was curious as to why regular customers weren't going to be allowed, but he just made excuses as to the buffet not being ready as they were prepping for the party set to arrive at 12. Again, opening time is 11, and as noted on the site, "We offer All You Can Eat Buffet everyday for lunch and all day on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays." Basically we were blown off, but decided to check the menu anyway since we had already made the drive over. The food looked decent, but the prices were $2-$3 higher on average than the website menu, noted with small white stickers with handwritten new pricing stuck over the old price. Wish I could give a review of the actual food, but the experience in general was enough to make me stay away, FAR away! Wouldn't recommend to anyone, next time I'll just stick to Caspian Bistro, a much closer place to home with service and food that always meets expectations,...

My daughter Sabrina and Son-in-law Sam had told me about this wonderful Persian Restaurant. I had promised my friend Laurie that I would take her someplace fun for her birthday. She loves Middle Eastern food. So, Friday Feb 20th we went here for the lunch buffet. It was wonderful. The owner came over and when I told him it was Laurie's birthday, he went up to the front microphone and sang the American Birthday song and then sang the song they sing to people for their birthday in Iran. Laurie is very shy but she loved that he did that for her. The food here is so good. My taste buds kept wanting MORE MORE MORE. I do not know the names for those dishes but they were all yummy. I loved the rice pudding with rose water. I loved all the kabobs--beef and chicken were tasty and tender, I am not a bread person but the bread is to die for. I kept eating it with the humus and some green eggplant & dill sauce or dip, the lamb was so good. Loved everything. My daughter Sabrina's birthday is next week and I know where I will be taking her and her...

I've been here twice and if you like Persian food, this is pretty spot on. The baba ganoush is delicious,as is the hummus. Both times were for the lunch buffet. The first visit, everything was great. The second time, the chicken kabobs were a little dry, but still good. I used some of what I believe was mint chutney to dip them in and it helped quite a bit; really flavorful stuff too. I make sabzi and gheymeh at home that is usually better than the stuff you find on buffets so i wasn't expecting much there. The salad olivieh was great. The bread was fresh and tasty and the kabobs were really good and not dry on my first visit. I will have to come back and try some of the regular menu items like joojeh and barg kabob. The reviews of the pistachio ice cream are good too so I can't wait to try that as well. I wish they made doog in house as I don't care for the bottled stuff but I definitely recommend this place! 4.5 stars if I could rate it...

This space is not very big, not more than 10 tables. There were a variety of Mediterranean items and American breakfast items. It is a great brunch outing. We started with a cinnamon roll, absolutely delicious. Great pairing with a Turkish coffee. I had a main salad with gyro meat. The dressing and overall salad was perfect. The gyro meat was thickly cut and nicely spiced. Hubby had the egg Benedict with turkey. It came with roasted potatoes. The eggs were perfectly poached. He enjoyed the entire plate. We suggested a gyro egg Benedict would be an amazing option, or using the shawarma burger patty would be great too. We also tried some spinach soup which was creamy and satisfying. The servers were very attentive. We will return to try other menu items. If you are near 83rd & Metcalf in overland park, swing by to give it a try. I'm hoping they will have falafels on their menu soon!!

06/14/25 I go there for buffet on the weekends still as good as ever. They did tell me today that they will be moving in a couple of weeks back to Lenexa. Apparently they were having problems with building. There was no AC today. Looking forward to the new location. They said they will be posting that on the website. 08/11/25 Well I did visit them when they opened at the new location. They had the buffet for a day (a Saturday). We went in about 2 or 3 in the afternoon to be told they were shutting down the buffet, and not sure if or when they would bring it back. We will see what the future brings. I love their food, so I will keep an eye on it. This place is smaller than the previous location, but in an area that is a stone’s throw from the original location. Ok more than one stone’s throw. 09/12/25, the buffet is back on Saturday and Sunday noon to 6pm. Pass the word.

Walking into this restaurant feels like walking into a warm hug. Smells like home and instantly puts your heart at ease. The owner has been like family to me since I was a kid, and he still brings that same love and kindness into every part of the dining experience. The food? Absolutely incredible. There are so many options, and every single dish is packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and incredibly filling. You can truly taste the care and tradition in every bite. Whether you’re coming in for comfort food or trying something new, you won’t leave disappointed. DONT skip the tea at the end! It’s the perfect way to wrap up a delicious meal. Warm, comforting, and just the right touch of sweetness. This place is more than a restaurant—it’s a second home. Highly, highly recommend.
