Previous experiences at this particular location have been good. Unfortunately the last time that I visited was early in the morning as the establishment was opening. I only opted to have the chicken tenders and Jalapeno Bombers with a soda and was told that they would be a brief weight as they had to fry the tenders and the bombers which waiting was not an issue. But that's where it stops after waiting from what I was told would be 5 to 6 minutes which ended up being closer to 15 minutes I received my order and left premises. While driving to my next stop that I needed to make I open the box to take a look at my tenders and possibly take a bite of one of them while on my way only to see that they were burned pretty bad. I immediately wanted to turn around and go back to get a refund or have the order remade but waiting a second time and possibly having to deal with an unnecessary attitude from an associate I opted to stop at a different fast food restaurant to get something to eat. I don't want to deal with a possible conflict with someone in regards to their mistake, in my mind this store just opened not even five minutes before I walked in the door there's no reason to not be attentive to what's being prepared specifically for One customer. So I felt that the person preparing the chicken tenders did not care I was not concerned about the quality of food that the establishment is putting out, so instead of complaining instead of asking for a refund I would simply pass on the word to everyone who would read this as well as friends and family about how things are handled with your food at this particular Church's Chicken location. I hope everyone...
Read moreI went into the Overland location and as soon as I walked in the door, the cashier looked me dead in my face and walked to the back. No greeting. When she finally came back up, she acted as if I was bothering her, huffing and puffing, and rushed me to place my order. There was NOBODY in the store besides me so the sense of urgency to place my order was not needed. Then they don’t have a drive thru so the fact that it took almost ten minutes to pack up some food and it wasn’t even dropped fresh is kind of crazy to me.. but once the cashier seen a lil tack head boy come in the store, now she’s nice and chipper for him! Ha! Then when I finally do get my food as I’m checking the bag I say “can I get some…” and before I could finish looking for sauces in the bag the person that packed my bag yelling at me saying “WHAT YOU WANT?” I asked for sprinkles and left. Nobody said anything to me, not a hello.. goodbye.. have a nice day.. nothing. Worst customer service I’ve experienced and that was my first and last time going to this location. If you don’t know how to interact with the general public, maybe a customer service position at a popular food chain wasn’t the right career choice. Oh, and let me not forget to mention that chicken tasted like they fried it in old grease and like I said earlier was not dropped fresh so by the time I got to the other end of the road to my destination my food was barely warm. And they forgot my pie, which had also been sitting and was cold when I went back to get it. If you have a taste for churches, let this be the VERY LAST LOCATION...
Read moreWhile I don’t go to Church’s every Sunday, I do worship at the altar of crispy, golden chicken whenever the spirit moves me—and let me tell you, the spirit moves often. Church’s isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a sanctuary where the holy trinity of crunch, flavor, and juicy goodness is alive and well.
The biscuits? Divine. The chicken? Baptized in flavor and fried to salvation. The sides? So good they make you speak in tongues (mostly “mmm” and “oh wow”). I once saw a drumstick so glorious it nearly converted a lifelong vegan. True story.
If you’re looking for a place where the only thing holier than the chicken is the grease-stained napkin you use to wipe your tears of joy—this is it. Church’s Chicken: where every bite feels like a blessing, and every meal is a revival.
Amen, and pass the honey...
