Read moreI have been looking for a decent Greek restaurant in Orlando and it has been impossible to find - Santorini did not live up to the task. First of all, this place is in a totally disgusting shopping center. It is completely run down with a scary-looking pizza place and a thrift store. Our experience started off by the terrible service when we walked in - nobody greeted us for five minutes. We ended up seating ourselves. All tables were dirty so we ended up pulling apart a 6-top and wiping off the tables with napkins we found on another table. There was one cook and one waitress working for the night with maybe 4 tables total (it's a super small place to begin with). Finally, the waitress came by and gave us waters. The water literally tasted like it had sewage in it. She came by to take our order. The food took extremely long to get there and it was dripping with sauce. We asked for two cokes because of the sewage water and she forgot about the coke and then finally told us the machine was broken and didn't offer us anything else (they have bottled beverages in a cooler but she did not offer). The egg lemon soup was watery and disgusting. The waitress was impossible to track down all throughout the meal and it was overall just disappointing. We will never go...
Read moreI ate here recently and won’t return for 3 reasons:
Not a good Greek salad, with a terrible excuse for “feta cheese”
Rude customer service. The owner asked if everything was ok and I questioned the feta. He brought out a bucket from the back to show that the bucket said imported feta. Umm, ok. Asides from being condescending, does the pictured Greek side salad look appetizing? No - and it wasn’t.
I ordered the sampler which came with a huge portion of gyro meat, small slice of lamb and a few dolmades. Typically with gyro meat you’re served pita bread but not here. How is a pile of gyro meat enjoyable without pita bread? And since they were closing soon, they couldn’t bring me a side order of pita bread. Nothing was offered to make the experience better.
I give fair reviews and don’t believe in trashing businesses. This review is 2 stars because my wife’s chicken gyro was pretty good. The side order of beans was also good and tasted pretty authentic. The slice of lamb and dolmades were fine, but not great. I’ll never give Santorini in Oviedo another chance after that experience though. Be nicer to paying customers next time so maybe...
