We usually have great service at the Sam’s Club Café, but we had a frustrating experience today. We called for a while trying to get through to place an order over the phone and our call was not accepted. No worries. We came inside to the café instead and ordered a cheese pizza and a meat pizza. After we ordered, they received a call in order for a meat pizza and said they could no longer make ours because they were giving it to the people who called in after us. They apologized, saying “we weren’t supposed to be accepting call in orders, but somebody messed up and accepted this one.” Then, they would not give us a receipt (the cafe worker threw our receipt on the ground into a pile) so that we could go get a refund for the pepperoni pizza that ours was switched to. The worker was very rude by the end of this interaction. This whole ordeal led to 40+ minutes of trying to work it out at the service desk for a refund and being late for our son’s birthday party. Highly recommend that management works out a better system for the café workers. It seems that they are overwhelmed and are lacking adequate staff or structure.
