The food here is sublime, with a good variety of entrees, sushi rolls, and desserts to choose from. The chicken yakisoba is a must-have if it is your first time visiting this restaurant. The food is always fresh, hot, and made swiftly. On an average day, you will only have to wait 6 or 7 minutes for your food. Serving sizes are above average. The quality of ingredients seems fairly high, with tender chicken, crisp vegetables in the sushi, and juicy hibachi steak- all consistent every time i have gone here. (p.s, never before have i seen such a HUGE selection of sushi. There's an entire page in the menu dedicated to it.)
The price of eating here will definitely not break your bank- you may spend an average of 20 dollars a person, depending on what you order. There is also a lunch hour special, which i believe is from 12-2:30. This saves a lot of money- you get dumplings, soup, salad, an entree, some rice, all for under 20 dollars.
The service is amazing. The server always checks back in to refill waters, sauces, and napkins if needed. Orders are taken accurately, and food is prepared the way you ask. Takeout seems popular and well-serviced, with many people swiftly entering and leaving with their food in a matter of seconds.
The atmosphere is very relaxed, with calm piano music, river ambience, dim but warm lighting, and many decorations. The restaurant is kept clean. There are flossers and mints near the door as well, for those who appreciate little things like that.
Don't let the non-flashy outside fool you, this is a wonderful place to eat. Try it...
Read moreUpdated below with complete redemption: Excellent service, reasonable prices, good sushi presentation, the fish was fresh and delicious but the rice was barely passable and more like grocery store sushi. It was dried out or not cooked properly, I can’t be sure. I can only assume, based on the excellent reviews, that I got unlucky and the rice was not up to normal standards. My expectations were immediately lowered bc this place isn’t exactly posh but when I saw the sushi I was certain 5 stars were on the way but yesterday’s rice (OK that was tongue and cheek because it certainly was not yesterday’s rice, but it did taste like it), yes the rice ruined it and turned it into gas station or grocery store sushi. I will come again and I hope to update this to a full 5 start review. Look at the picture! This sushi looks good. Next time I’ll be sure to order the scallops w/o lemon. I’ve not had lemon on scallops before and wasn’t not a huge fan.
I returned and the sushi was excellent. No issue at all with the sushi rice and everything was delicious. The Inari zushi I chose for ‘dessert’ was just excellent and the perfect end to the meal. I highly recommend you try it if you’ve never had it before. I’m so happy that I found this little gem at the perfect spot along a trip...
Read moreMuch value, much flavor—Mizuki Fusion in Owatonna, MN, delivers a lunch special that even a Jedi Council would unanimously approve. Stepped in during lunch hours (11am–2:30pm), and ordered the Tofu Teriyaki Bento Box. For $9.75 credits, this humble Jedi was most impressed.
The golden tofu—crispy on the outside, soft within—came bathed in a sweet teriyaki glaze that shimmered like the twin suns of Tatooine. A most satisfying choice for those walking the vegetarian path.
Alongside it arrived:
4 pieces of California roll, fresh and tightly assembled
Gyoza, golden and flavorful, pan-fried with precision
A warm bowl of miso soup, light and comforting as Yoda’s advice
White rice, fluffy and well-portioned
And a refreshing green salad, cloaked in that bright, mysterious ginger-carrot dressing—surely crafted by wise alchemists
The ambiance inside is peaceful and clean, decorated with red lanterns and playful touches of Japanese culture. Service was friendly, quick, and never disruptive to one's Force-driven focus on food.
Though the building’s exterior may not scream “fusion feast,” trust in the menu, you must. For inside this modest outpost lies a culinary experience worthy of...
