Went here this morning and had the western omelette with biscuits and gravy, and hash browns. First off, the service is really good. Our server was very sweet, and quite attentive even though she had multiple tables to deal with including one large group. I feel like she did a very good job of making sure we were taken care of. The diet Pepsi originally was very low in syrup tasting, so I informed her and she promptly offered to switch it out. She brought me a new one after it was done and it did taste better, but after the fact I found out they had diet mountain dew and so I asked if I could get one of those and she happily agreed and it was even better. The restaurant seems like it's been there for quite a while, but you can tell that it is well loved by many. The food left a little to be desired. The omelette was pretty decent, and actually had quite a bit of ingredients in it but the cheese was only in about half the omelette... Which really impacted my enjoyment of it. The biscuits were homemade, but a little overdone. The gravy seems pre-made and was quite watered down to be honest. And unfortunately my hash browns were a little cold. Overall because of the atmosphere and the service I would recommend going to this place, my only hope is if I do come back that the food will be even...
Read moreService was slow. We went there for the "meat and 3" and were very disappointed. Meat and 3 diners are not expected to serve anything fancy - just good home style cooking. The meatloaf was decent. Canned green beans were what you'd expect. I have never been served mashed potatoes that dry before. So dry the pile of potatoes was cracking at the edges. I put one of the little tubs of fake butter in, then poured in a half & half coffee creamer from the table. They were still thick and pasty. The cornbread was dry beyond being edible. I didn't like the Cole slaw at all, but that's just personal preference. Tasted like maybe it was made with Miracle Whip, which I don't like. Overall the food was not very good. This is basic food, nothing fancy. It's not that hard. I won't...
Read moreFirst time visiting. We arrived at 9:50 had our diary table touch @9:55. We ordered our food in a packed house at times standing room only. As avid food critics and travelers we know about wait times, ticket times. In saying that we were satisfied at the 30 mins to get our food out. Everything came out hot and as ordered. My only complaint was the hash browns as they were under cooked. Everything g else was to perfection and tasted fresh and homemade. Service was friendly, with lots of laughter and team work. I never saw anyone standing around. I like that as it shows the effort of team work and enthusiasm for their jobs. Well done everyone! I look forward to visiting again soon. Defiantly worth trying and will be trying g their lunch as well.
Happy...
