I’ve been here a total of 3 times within the year! I definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for something different yet satisfying to the taste buds. Maharaja’s is located close to Walmart which is within the heart of Jackson if you are familiar with Oxford, however there is always gps to find it pretty easily as well. The food was amazing especially the sizzling thingy that I got which included “shrimp, lamb & chicken.” The side of balsamic rice was made perfect. It tasted like a Sunday afternoon stroll in the park without having to worry about school or work the next day. OMG the chicken was out of this world and I largely attribute that to the Indian spices and overall way of making it. We also ordered mango lassi which is a signature Indian drink which has a vibrant taste. If you’re vegan, vegetarian or even pescatarian then they def do have something on the menu for you. One thing to note that tips are included in your total so you won’t need to tip unless you are feeling super generous. I rate the environment a whopping 8/10 for being quiet, peaceful spacious and moderately clean. Customer services is a solid 9/10 because our waitress tried her best given the fact that she was clearly queasy.

I love the culture but the food I had in particular was not good at all! TikTok brought me to try this food out. The chicken did not taste like chicken and the sauce was okay. The meat was very brown and rubber like. The bread and the rice was the only thing that stood out. And by the way, if you go in a group, you will be sharing the rice instead of having your own. For the price, I would not recommend eating here. I’ve spent $37 dollars for this butter chicken, “shared rice”, and bread. Oh and the fountain drink is $3.50. Such a rip off if you ask me. I would have did better cooking this meal at home on my own. I will try preparing this meal at home next time.

Walked into this place and seem empty, but the amount of people that ordered take out made me feel better. Ordered the usual I have when eating Indian food and was not disappointed, The paner pakoras were great with the tamarind sause great opening followed by the chicken Tikka massala had good flavor and the spices were right on point greatly appreciated that they didn't charge extra for the rice and the weakest part was the Naan it tasted store bought and kind of hard buy overall a great place to eat recommend you give them a try. P.s they charge the gratuity straight to your bill so I guess it was the Naan and the charge that sucks.

Firstly, I ordered 4 mango lassi. My husbands glass came out with a bold red lipstick imprint on the glass. It wasn’t even smudged like it had been washed…. AT ALL YIKES. The yogurt used to make the mango lassi was SPOILED you could smell & taste it. I ordered aloo gobi add okra, he said 15 mins. He actually forgot to put the order in, when I did recieve it The aloo gobi was soupy… not what I’m used too. It was 0/10. The only food was good was chicken masala 10/10 BUT no adjustments were made to my ticket. Only 15% of after constant rebuttable. $25 worth of spoiled drinks & unclean glassware. Yuck. The tables were also sticky ! I won’t be returning or recommending....
