The Honey Baked Ham Company — Restaurant in Oxford

Food was ok. Kind of bland. Would have been nice to have sauces on the table so we could put on thr sandwich. Lady was very nice behind the counter. Place was super busy. Very clean. Stocked full of sauces to buy but none on the table to use. Just feel that would be good. My sandwich had mayo on the edge of the bread in one place or two but not spread on the bread. Not sure what that was about.? I told my husband this is so bland. Opened it up and no mayo on the bread just slapped a tiny bit on the crust of the bread in a couple places I assume where you thought you were getting mayo ? Not happy about that. Expensive sandwich to be playing like that. Could have been a mistake but then again so we know that ? Why put a tiny dab on the crust in a couple places to make you think...

We had their flagship bone in ham for Christmas 2022. It cost around $130 and was vaccum sealed/refrigerated when picked up same as a typical grocery store ham. By chance we had a comparable weight/cut ham in purple foil from Walmart about a week before that was $26. To our amazement the Walmart ham was without question far more tender, glaze was easily as good, and overall better. The Honeybaked ham had a descent smoke flavor but was dry/chewy straight out of the package. Maybe we got an old or overcooked ham. We assumed given the $100+ premium this would be a far better ham than Walmart but found Walmart was better overall and 80% of the cost. Honeybaked Ham may have been a leader at one time but not anymore! We rate this as a one star given the unreasonable price tag for a sub Walmart...

Honeybaked ham has been around a while. It’s kind of known as a kind of deli atmosphere, but kind of upscale deli in my opinion which I like I feel like the foods really clean. I was disappointed in some other places that serve chicken salad and I came back here-- forgot how good the chicken salad was --and they actually serve you a salad with it. It’s extra but it’s the same price as some of the other places that charge you The same price but without the side salad or the house salad It was delicious.
