We had actually pulled into the exit with the intent to go to a different place and excitedly decided on the Red Lobster when we saw the sign. I wish we had went with our original plan. The best thing about our experience was the waiter. I believe his name was Brantley. He was great at his job and I heard him treat each and every one of his tables with the same enthusiasm and kindness. That being said, when we were seated, I took quick notice that my booth seat was peeling and broken, and the table had a level of stickiness about it that felt like it had not been properly cleaned since around 2007. My partner commented on the dirtiness of the windowsill. Then our beloved Cheddar Bay Biscuits came out. They were āmehā and definitely could have been warmer. We ordered. I ordered grilled trout, mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts and he ordered the lobster linguini. We got our food in a reasonably quick amount of time. His lobster in the linguini looked like someone had already chewed it up and spit it back into the pasta. The sauce looked way too watery and did not have the tomatoes that that particular pasta recipe uses. The Brussels sprouts were the best thing we got. They were absolutely deliciously seasoned with just the right amount of char and crispiness, and the sauce is to die for. The mash was good, reminded me of my momās. My trout was not seasoned. The skin, which is usually the best and tastiest part for me, was soggy/slimy and about 3 bites in, I found a hair. I was just done after that. It made my stomach roll. We did let the waitstaff know that there was a problem and they were generous enough to give us a discount, which we never would have asked for, but did very much appreciate. I am just disappointed in our experience. Red Lobster used to be a favorite place for both of us and we were excited. Also, I hope this is a message to the owners that there is a problem with the restaurant but with some work and training it can get to where it needs to be. We love RL and just donāt want to see...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBig disappointment coming here. Where do I start? How about my mother got a coffee and it was luke warm and when i nicely asked the waitress if we can get a fresh cup that is hot (because who wants old cold coffee for $3.50) she snapped "That was just made 10 minutes ago" LET ME introject with even if you feel that its fresh, she should still have taken the coffee and poured a fresh cup and not argued about it my god you couldn't even feel the heat is she would have taken the time to check. Also it took 20 min to get a new coffee and it was steaming and you could actually smell it, so an actual fresh brew as anyone who drinks coffee can tell. We ordered white wine and mussels appetizer. It came out with our steak entrees and it was not hot and at least half the mussels were not even opened. We asked maybe for something to open them with and steak sauce. The waitress said shruggingly sure I guess there is something and walked away and WE NEVER SAW HER AGAIN! She never came back ! Finally another woman came over about 20 minutes later and brought me a refill drink so i asked her for a box because our steaks were cold now and I told her we never got steak sauce and ALSO my mother never got her baked potato! You know what they said? They ran out they had to microwave a potato? Are you charging people $25 plate with microwaved potatoes? Listen when I tell you I will NEVER eat here again. WORSTE waste of $70 in my life I couldn't even eat it. My mother told me that even her water tasted funny and after that experience I believe her whole heartedly. P.S. a family at the table next to us also complained to the manager and then when they heard me they told me they messed up everything. Their medium rare steak was completely cooked and her fish was dry and dust and they also were not told about the potatoes and waited till they left for microwaved in a to go box! Absolutely never had such...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been to this location several times but my last experience topped it off and Iāll never be back. Long story short...there was some kinda bug in my broccoli and I notice after taking at least two serving of the broccoli. I let the waitress know there was a bug in my food; she took a look, apologized, and took the plate away. It brought me a new page late with the same sides. Iām still bothered and did not take another bit of any of the food...needless to say i had the endless shrimp. Waitress asked several times ācan I get you some more or some else?ā. The offer was declined. Waitress brings out a ticket with a $5 discount because āof the issue with you foodā and Iām still puzzled. Eventually i asked to speak with the manager on duty which was Pamela Williams; I made it known there was an issue with my food and an insect in my broccoli. She went in defense mood and said āthere was no bug in your food; she (the waitress) showed me your food; it was the seasoning.ā After showing her the picture I had taken of the plate, it changed to āwell thatās not what I sawā. And proceeded with asking me āwell what can I do for you?ā. I told her I wasnāt comfortable with the way they handle this situation and I asked for the general manger information. Pamela said she would get me that information and never return to give it to me. Then the waitress brings out a small plate with a piece of broccoli asking me ācan I see the picture you showed my managerā and trying to convince me the broccoli on her plate and my picture is similar and itās the āseasoningā.
Iāve worked in the food industry and I know mishaps like this can happen at any restaurant I attend. But the way the staff handled this matter alone is beyond meeting the expectations of a business and customers. I filed a complaint with corporate as well as the...
