A-Burger — Restaurant in Oxnard

First off. I don't know what people seem to be thinking, but this is not even close to Whataburger. That doesn't mean it's not delicious though. This truly is very good, it's just not anything like Whataburger. The service was excellent. Nice people, prompt service and everything. The patrons? Well, I'm pretty sure the hookers were nice ladies. Probably also the drug dealers. I would not have gone in there by myself at that time (after dark) but with my husband I felt comfortable and quite frankly, watching those people come and go was kind of entertaining, so hey! It's got live entertainment! There was one creeper though who flirted with the cashier. The frozen polite smile was not something he either noticed, or he simply just didn't care about it. I was going to rescue her if he didn't lay off but he did. She was about the age of my daughter so... As for the food, it really was delicious! The vegetables on the burger were crispy fresh, the chili cheese fries (we got a large and shared) were very VERY good! My only complaint food wise was that I wish they toasted the buns a bit better. Leaving the top soft makes for needing a fork to eat a burger because it falls apart as soon as you pick it up. Thanks A-Burger for some great food!...

I used to come to this spot when I was in high school in Hueneme and used to drive across town with a few friends. Everything was great from the quality of the food to the customer service.

I came in the other day tjough about 2 weeks ago and to my surprise their was no customers but 5 or more employee's gathered at the register. Some were older 60+ and some were probably as young as 18.

Not one of these employee's could just put that to the side and take my order. Any place that doesn't value their customers is a joke and this is exactly what this felt like this time around.

Could be the culture because I'm also hispanic and know how people could be, however nobody gets a free pass. You need to learn your skills and take them elsewhere regardless of what position you are in life.

Not only was that experience a horrid one but the fact that I asked for 1 large order of fries and then got that same order of fries burned by the old lady with nobody else behind me in line made this a complete and utter waste of my time😂

The RUDEST young girl taking orders! I stood at the counter for over 7 minutes without so much as a Hello. When I asked what kind of drinks were available, her reply, " I have no idea, they are Right there!" IN an ANGRY tone. This was our First time here, and Most definitely will be our LAST! The food, Just NO. Hot dog couldn't Possibly have been Any thinner! So thin, you couldn't see it in the bun barely covered with relish and onions. The fries, Awful. Pastrami wasn't bad, but the bun was dripping in oil, mushy, and Unedible. Want good food made old fashioned with Good quality? Go across and down the Street to Buddy Burger. This place, seriously should be shut down! Dirty, oily food, dirty floors and tables. No sanitizing taking place here. And why be ignored and treated rudely?
