Yummy Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in Oxnard

I used to work for this company that used to buy us food from here and that’s how I was introduced to this place. The tall gentleman at cash register is so welcoming and friendly. He makes the experience at this place so pleasant. If the owners are reading this, please compensate this employee, he is amazing. I’ve have been helped by some of the girls and they are not as helpful and pleasant as he is.

I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ mix which comes with their delicious macaroni salad and their crispy shrimp. Portions are huge and you can easily make two meals out of your plate or three depending on the size of your stomach. Their macaroni salad is the best.

The place is simple and atmosphere is also simple.

The reason why I gave 3 stars is due to the clerk that took my order. My food was less than $10.00, but when I looked at my credit card total, I was charged a really weird amount like $21.50 for a mini meal. I was reimbursed once I noticed, but the clerk actually got upset with me for my awareness. The food is Awesome, but I don't think I will buy from them again.

Unfortunately, I returned 2 months later b/c my friend wanted to try it & the girl there was rude AF. They didn't have any sauces available & they looked at me as if I should eat their food without the sauce. I'm visiting from Ohio and my friend that lives here brought me to YH BBQ. It is truly one of the best meals I've ever had. I got the chicken combo plate which included Katsu chicken, bbq chicken, rice and macaroni sald. SOOOO much food. They provide you with plenty of sauces but honestly did not need sauce for anything. The flavors were to die for on their own. THE BEST mac salad i have ever had. I have also never had spam so I tried the spam musibi....absolute perfection!
