It's really a shame that this place has such great food and such terrible service. My friend and I went here for dinner and the service was insanely slow, and we were one of only 4-5 tables in the whole place. We had to go out of our way to ask for them to take our order, refill our drinks, give us the bill, and to-go boxes, if we hadn't, we probably would've been waiting til they closed. Regardless, my same friend went back to celebrate her birthday because she loved the gnocchi dish she got previously, and had an even worse experience. She and her husband were totally ignored, while a close by table received plenty of attention from their same waiter Will... probably because they kept buying him shots. Meanwhile, he got her order wrong, didn't check up on them, didn't get her a box after her asking two separate times.. not even doing the bare minimum. Anyone who's worked in the F&B industry knows there's plenty of drinking going on behind the scenes; but usually those people are smart about it and don't let it affect their job performance. It's pretty upsetting to go out to dinner only to be "taken care of" by a server who's taking shots in the open and is too tipsy to do their job correctly or well. If you dine in, be prepared to fend for yourself. I really like the food here, but I'll only place...
Read moreWe took my mother-in-law out for lunch on her 88th birthday. The place was jam-packed. I would highly recommend that you make a reservation. We had a made a reservation and still had to wait for our table. The host and staff couldn't have been more accommodating and apologetic that it was taking so long for our table. No worries! We had tasty mimosas while we waited. Once our table was available, we sat down to a delicious lunch.
We started with an appetizer of baked crab dip which was exceptional. Then for the main course, all three of us ordered Prime Rib French Dip Sandwiches which were the best we had ever had. We continued with our "bottomless" mimosas. After our meal, the birthday girl was treated to a piece of cheese cake with her favorite topping.
Just a wonderful sensory experience all the way around. We'll be back!
Suggestion: Because the food and beverages are so good and it is such a pleasurable dining experience that makes people want to linger, the Vineyard Market might want to consider introducing time limits on dining like they do at some of the New York City restaurants. This way Vineyard Market can handle more...
Read moreI’ve been the Vineyard 3 times since moving to the area. Coming from Colorado there are multiple places like this all over the Denver Metro area and I thought Vineyard would help cure some of my feeling of being homesick. The first time was a hit with a girlfriend of mine visiting from out of town. Second time I came with my husband and while we didn’t love where we were sat, the experience and food was good. The last time we came in was a huge nose dive from what I had come to expect. The charcuterie board we got was disappointing ...it was nothing more than pre-cut, pre-packaged cheeses and sliced deli meat that was on the verge of expiration. The chicken salad sandwich had no flavor to it. I am willing to pay for a nice night out ...good food, good wine, good service. Vineyard has become hit or miss, which is disappointing because I’d like to support this local business but not if I’m nervous about a night out being a miss. I think the concept is there and the intention ...I hope they continue to evolve, listen to customer...
