Our experience at Fuji was a real rollercoaster. Front staff was very nice and we were seated promptly. Our server/ waitress was very nice as well. Our family did the AYCE and our appetizers came out fast. With that said, our sushi took FOREVER! The hibachi steak and shrimp took FOREVER. After waiting 25 minutes we finally had to address the concern with our waitress. Blame was placed on the "computer ordering system". The sushi rolls were good (once they finally arrived). Hibachi proteins were good (once they arrived). Overall the experience was ok, but there are just a few things that bothered me about Fuji:
There are other AYCE sushi restaurants in the area (Pensacola) where the price is the same but it also includes your drink. Fuji charges extra for sodas, tea, etc.. Why not just incorporate the drink into the pricing to be competitive? On weekends, Fuji makes you pay the AYCE Dinner price even during lunch time. Other AYCE establishments charge lunch prices even on the weekends. That means Fuji's weekend lunch rates are $10 more expensive (per person) than their competition. $13 more expensive (per person) if you want something other than water to drink. There is nothing special about the atmosphere in this restaurant. I cannot justify paying more here vs. the competition if the food is not substantially better and the atmosphere is lacking and bland.
In conclusion: the food is good (but possibly slow to get to the table), the staff nice, the atmosphere bland/ nothing special, less value to dollar when compared to other AYCE sushi restaurants with a...
Read moreI had the absolute pleasure of being served by Skylar at Fuji, and I can honestly say she made our dining experience unforgettable! From the moment we sat down, Skylar greeted us with a warm, genuine smile and was immediately attentive to our needs. She took the time to explain the menu in detail, offering excellent recommendations and making sure we were comfortable with every choice we made.
Throughout the meal, Skylar was incredibly efficient, checking in at just the right moments without being intrusive. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, from refilling our drinks to offering more sushi options as soon as we finished a plate. Her attentiveness was beyond impressive, and it felt like she was truly invested in ensuring we had the best possible experience.
What truly set Skylar apart was her friendly and approachable demeanor. She made us feel like valued guests, always ready with a kind word or a thoughtful gesture. The level of service she provided was truly outstanding, and itâs clear that she takes pride in her work and cares deeply about her customersâ satisfaction.
Thanks to Skylar, our dining experience was top-notch. I would highly recommend requesting her as your server â you wonât be...
Read moreThis is a message for Management. My Fiancé and I were going to eat at this establishment and we were excited to try it, but when we got in the door, there were four or five hostesses or servers just standing there to all talking to each other and they didn't greet us at all withing the whole time we were there. We even walked in and said hello and all of them turned away and continued to talk. Not a single greating from any staff after we said hello even. One girl silently gathered some stuff to take us to our table and silently walked us to it, and then abruptly stopped and I looked at her and sat down and she aggressive slapped the menus and silverware onto the middle table and walked away without a word. We got up and walked away, because of how terrible the atmosphere was. Wish we could have tried the food, but maybe when the staff is a little more professional we might be back. They definitelyneed training, everyone has a bad day but this was so weird, these are simple greeting and services to provide from any of the servers. I'm young but these younger people need a talking to about service, it left a bad taste in our mouths, even without...
