Our waitress took our order and never came back to our table until I had to say something to someone else. Another young girl brought our food out and I had nothing to drink with my burger nor did I have ketchup to go with my fries. I asked her for a drink and ketchup and waited ten minutes while watching our waitress take an order for the table next to us which appeared to be the only other small group in this restaurant sitting down and eating at a table at around 6:30pm on a Monday night. The waitress noticed me staring at while she was taking the other table’s order and then came to our table next and asked me if I needed something. After I told her I needed another drink, she disappeared for another 10 minutes. During this time I went to the bar inquiring about a drink and was told that the waitress hadn’t put in an order for it and she couldn’t help mess The bartender was on her phone and seemed annoyed that I was asking her directly about a drink (so I could wash down my meal). I did manage to get a bottle of ketchup from her. After waiting a few more minutes, I desperately went up there to ask for a water and to go box and there was no one to be found behind the bar. However, I could see people looking from the kitchen and seemingly gossiping. The next time I saw our waitress again, I had to interrupt her from tending to the table next to us to ask about a drink. She looked at me and lied and said she had been waiting on the bartender (who had absolutely nothing going on and had just told me earlier that no order had been put in by our waitress for a drink). So after waiting a few more minutes with my cold burger and fries, a guy out of uniform comes to our table acting somewhat annoyed asking if everything was ok… After explaining the situation to him and asking for a to go box so we could just leave, he finally comes with a drink instead of a to go box and no check. He told me the drink was on the house…. I did enjoy sipping on my “free” drink while waiting on him to figure out the card reader so I could take my to go box and leave.
I have eaten here many times over the years and always have 2-3 drinks, my family eats appetizers (weren’t offered), a meal and deserts. I always tip very well. This ditzy girl received no tip. The only tip given was advice to the manager who didn’t seem to have the respect of the people working for him.
I will never give this place my business again. It’s clearly mismanaged and...
Read moreQuite a nice meal with a courteous staff that strikes that perfect balance of not bothering you throughout your meal yet not abandoning you either. The appetizers were quite tasty with my personal recommendation being the soft pretzels. The salad has a fresh vibrant hugh with a plethora of options that makes it rather easy to opt for something a bit healthier. I'd strongly recommend the grilled zucchini on the side to accompany your dish as not only is it quite rare to find, but also very flavorful and robust, standing on it's own right to encourage any vegetarians or veggie lovers to give it a go. I was also lucky enough to arrive during happy hour, and enjoyed 2 blue moons for the price of one. Now for the short list of negatives. The dish I chose was the ribeye steak, an adequate piece of meat to be sure, but felt as if it was prepared with just a bit less care than I've come to be accustomed to seeing when I've ordered a nice cut. The steak was medium rare as ordered, but came out closer to the rare side, reminding me of my early years when I was first learning to cook a steak and would simply sere the meat without braising it a bit to ensure a nice even heat that leaves the center pink but ensures its thoroughly cooked. This was mildly off putting, and especially so considering the wonderful experience the rest of the meal delivered. The final negative I leave you with is the pricetag. This is, without a doubt the most expensive of the big 4 (applebees, chili's, tgi-fridays, well, now just fridays, and of course, ruby tuesdays) with a single person easily reaching upwards of $40 if you came in with a big appetite. All In all, a pleasant experience but one i will enjoy on a less consistent occasion. Still, I would recommend you eat here...
Read moreI am an Uber Eats driver. Today, I came in to pick up an order. They have a designated area for gig workers to pick up orders. There's nothing on the table yet. No big deal.
There's a waitress talking with a customer and holding the customer's baby. There's two other waitresses standing there chatting with each other. Multiple staff members walked in and out of the kitchen. Not a soul acknowledged I was there. No one asked me if I needed anything. No one asked me whose order I was there for. It wasn't until a manager looking personal brought the order out that anyone acknowledged my presence there. That was after at least five minutes.
If it was busy enough that everyone was running around helping other guests, I probably wouldn't have cared. I've worked in the restaurant business before. But at least 3 people were just standing around talking. I can give the lady talking to a customer a pass. But the two staff who were just shooting the breeze to each other were just ignoring me. All I needed was a quick "someone will be with you shortly". This, unfortunately, is not limited to just this location. I have the same experience at the Pine Forest location in Pensacola all the time. Taking care of delivery drivers is clearly not a priority for this company. I guess I should just stop taking orders from Ruby Tuesday.
The only reason I didn't give them one star is because as I was leaving a staff member chased me down to give me an item they forgot to put in the bag. Gotta give them credit for catching that and...
