First, I want to say the girl that did my hair I will not be naming names for their privacy. She was very nice seemed very caring. However, it was a little shady to me that she told me she would be doing a test strand. Keep in mind, I was a level 10 blonde (not naturally) before I started going dark. Prior to this consultation with the stylist here, I hadn’t put dye in my hair for almost 2 months and I was washing it with alot of clarifying shampoo, Because we were doing color removal for the dark dye I had in, And the test strand Because I wanted to go lighter and I did not expect it all to be blonde again in one session. I was just hoping for the test strand to go well, And to get most of the darker color out. My roots were grown out to a level 6, and were fairly light. I have very thick strong healthy hair, 2 pounds when wet, length to my waist, hardly any damage, despite having dyed it (leaving alot of time before touch ups for it to breathe) but as the stylist here was doing the test strand, She did inform me that the dye my hair and this product I used at home Might make lighter counteract with it and break my hair. After she did the test strand, she claimed my hair was breaking, and didnt wanna fix it or proceed . As I’m looking at it, there is hardly any breakage, ive sat through 5 hour bleach sessions WITH PREVIOUS DYE OF THE SAME BRAND with no damage, no breakage, etc. When I got home I even felt the hair she used the lightener on and it was still healthy and in tact. However , I didn’t notice the whole time that there are several other sections underneath my hair that got lightened, which is odd for a “test strand” and its uneven and patchy. Well, as she does the color removal, she ended up putting developer on my roots with it?? That were not dyed, grown out, and already light, leaving the result ugly and orange, I was very upset and she did ask if I wanted color over it but I didnt trust even that, because Her and another stylist were talking about taking off my hair if I wanted to go back to what I had over time, for even just a LIGHTER BROWN. I emphasized entirely that my hair was healthy, and I know this is their job and they went to school for it, but even I know my hair’s integrity, and that cutting length off my perfectly healthy waist length hair would be highly unnecessary. Not to mention, during the end after she was finished washing, Her boyfriend came in For a cut, and then she started to be really rushy And didn’t even show me exactly what had happened in the back of my hair. She claimed it was just the test when it was several section that looked like it got lightened from improper technique. I was really hopeful because her work was really good, And I drove an hour to go see her in hopes that she could help. Like I stated, I was not expecting to go lighter in just one session. Extremely disappointed with the results of my hair, after even just color removal and a test strand. I think a lot of Stylists, have the right to be worried and not wanna fry off someones hair, But I was bleached professionally blonde for a long time even with previous dye and my hair still kept integrity and health. But anytime you say you have dark hair they dont wanna take the actual time and effort to help you out and them saying you need to “cut lots of length off” is a red flag because I’ve seen people done it themselves carefully with no damage, just takes caution and the right products. I never really thought I'd be doing this after loyally coming to the same salon and stylist for over 10 years with basically 0 issue but I unfortunately have to edit my previous 5 star review. It was nothing but good experience after good experience (the photo of the gorgeous copper I get here is even the featured picture on the Google page for the salon) until for whatever reason my hair came out drastically different than it has for half a dozen appointments. I was deeply disappointed that my hair came out a dark, nearly-brown burgundy color instead of the copper I have been getting for years, but assumed there must have been some mistake and trusted my stylist (and the owner of THS) to make it right for me. Unfortunately after explaining my situation and contacting her asking to make an appointment to fix it, I was unceremoniously given a refund for my color and told I would no longer be welcome in her chair. She of course had no problem keeping the $40 tip I gave her. I'm really not sure how one request to remedy what was clearly and visibly different from every previous appointment warranted ending a 10 year professional relationship, but I found myself feeling like maybe I'd just been lucky there weren't problems previously and this is just the way THS deals with complaints. I can no longer in good conscience reccomend this salon, lest another client make the mistake of expecting that a mistake be remedied and be left with this kind of...

A while ago I came to this salon, I was hoping to try something new since I started a new job which opened a new chapter of my life. I came in after being confidently told that (I don’t remember names) but she had done this a million times and that I was in good hands. I ended up arriving at the salon around 4 PM after work and not leaving until 1 am. My hair was fried in some parts and barely past bronze in others. The reference photo I had shown her was darker and bronzer than I wanted and I communicated several times that I wanted a light brown on top and platinum blonde throughout. I made sure to let her know that my hair in past had never taken dye well and immediately we ended up with black? Before we started I had beautiful thick honey blonde hair and afterward I ended up with an uneven cut, my hair fried, black, and miserable. I cried my entire drive home and refused to look in the mirror. Even now I suffer with hair loss under my hair where it has been bleached leaving these Matty (now reddish brown) strands. I had to seek another salon to lift this red tinted black from my hair and cut out as much bleach without making my hair short or botched. I genuinely don’t understand where the 4.7 stars came from but I definitely did not have a blast and only received my money back for the color.
