After all these years, we finally tried this place. We're not big on fish and chips. We usually only eat fish during Lent. We were in the area and decided to go here for lunch. When you walk in, it's not that big but so many pictures to look at. It has a very welcoming and homey vibe. You can tell, there's a whole lot of history here. I was greeted and helped right away. Georgia was super nice and helped me narrow down my order, but I still got a sample of everything they had to offer. She was super patient with me and friendly. She seemed like she enjoyed working here.
I ordered:
The camelot - This was the perfect sampler. I've never tried fried oysters or scallops before. The fish was light and flaky. Surprisingly, the oysters and scallops didn't lose their flavor with the batter. You can taste the flavor of each item. It didn't taste like they were all the same thing since it was fried. The chips were thick and crunchy.
Krabbycakes and onion rings - This is not your standard crab cake. It was light and flavorful. The onion rings were amazing as well, super crunchy.
Deep fried twinkies - This was amazing. It's to eat it right away.
Cock & bull ginger beer & root beer - both were perfect and complimented thr food.
This place was delicious. I had told Georgia I was looking for bread or something to absorb all the greasiness. Surprisingly, I don't think you need it. The food was all fried but didn't make me feel like it was too much. Usually with fried foods, you feel like you need tea or something to help digest or help with that heavy feeling. Here it was not the case, it was perfect. I felt like I could eat so much more. Maybe this is why they've been around for 55 years or more. The food was amazing, the service was above and beyond. I will...

You won't and can't find a better fish & chip restaurant then this place. Seriously. People come from all over the bay area just to eat here. When I'm in a restaurant I'll sometimes try their fish and chip so I can compare it to this place. None have ever compared or ever come close. CAMELOT has set the bar for others as far as I'm concerned! I've been coming here for over 50 years!! Back when the Walgreens was Seavue Theater before it became Seavue Twin,, Manor music and a dive bar were just a few doors up! Fish and Chips and a double feature movie was our family's norm when I was a kid!!! This place brings back such good memories.. When I was a kid my parents would phone in 4 orders of fish and chips and I'd go with my dad to pick it up. It was good back then and its still good now... That was many moons ago and I'm still coming back for more!! Love this place. The decor is nice the people are nice and the place is always clean.
Update: My wife and I came here 10/22. Between Covid and this place being closed for awhile ( new baby for owner 🙂) its been 1.5 years since we've eaten here. I'm happy to say, the fish and chips are just as good as ever!!! Delicious!!!! After 1.5 years I felt like I was home again!! Lol!!
The wife and I went to London England back in June 2023. Part of my quest while there was to search for and find the best Fish N Chips London had to offer. Over the course of this trip, I ate Fish N Chips from 5 different pubs and restaurants. My conclusion: Where do people in London go when they want to get and eat the absolute best Fish N Chips around? Answer: They go to the airport, take a flight to SFO then head on over to Camelot's! Yup, Camelot's is still the best Fish N Chips that I...

Again, the fry cook LADY knows her stuff and I have NEVER had a bad meal - love the fact that we have the best fish & chips right here in Pacifica by the Sea. ENJOY!
Oh and the TARTAR SAUCE is so delicious!!! I’ve always used malt vinegar - even in England - and happened to try theirs a few weeks ago - OMG - the absolute BEST!!!!
I’ve been eating here for years and years, long before this newest owner. Yes, fish is delicious. However, today at 6 PM I started to call to place my order for p/u. Many calls - receiving tape recording that they’re on the phone - try back again or place an order online. I’m only a couple minutes away so I drove down. I was told the wait for my order would be 35-40 minutes and they apologized for no one answering the phone and for the long wait. It’s a beautiful, hot for Pacifica, day. I decided to go ahead and place the order and I’ll come back in a half an hour. The total for one meal - fish and chips was $17. I asked if they had raised the prices. Yes they did. It took me by surprise - the price, the wait. For frozen fish? I just left and decided not to get anything there. It’s a good place and the staff is nice and the fish fry lady is fair and fries up some good fish. At that very moment it seemed kind of expensive. I have the money - just didn’t seem...
