Dry Ground provides a long needed establishment for people to have a full craft beer experience. Named aptly after the first dry ground reachable during Paducah's 1937 flood, Dry Ground has several showcase beers brewed on the property. Dry Ground also maintains a rotating list of guest brewery beers such as Mile Wide, Founders, and Sierra Nevada. Almost all of Dry Ground beer possess high ABV, with the full craft beer selections of IPA, stout, scotch ale, and barleywines (Dry Grounds Marleywine is a well crafted house barleywine that packs a 15% alcohol punch, and is a fantastic variation of this style). With indoor and outdoor seating, firepits, a friendly and knowledgeable staff, comedy night, bands, and showcased local artists; Dry Ground is Paducah's premier location for hanging out with friends while enjoying the brewer's fine beers (and those of quest brewery beers). A dog friendly establishment, my Chiwinnie always receives a warm welcome. Overall, Dry Ground is (like it's beer)...
Read moreIt's hard to overstate the importance of this brewery on this town. When I moved to Paducah in July 2013, I was shocked to discover how little of an effect the "Craft Beer Boom" sweeping the nation had on this town. There were few (if any) places that one could go in order to get quality beer on tap and certainly nothing close to Paducah brewed beers. Naturally, when I heard about Dry Ground, I was excited. Even still, they far exceeded my lofty expectations. The employees are wonderful, the beers are delicious (they also carry great craft beers on tap from other breweries---only place I know of in Paducah that does), the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing and staying a while, and the location is superb. These guys really created a masterpiece by bringing a shining piece of Paducan history (Coke plant) into the new wave trends of craft beer. Kudos and much...
Read moreGreat brewery to check out! They have it all from sweet ciders to hoppy IPA. They brew about 12 beers in house and even have quite a few guest brews. They do not serve food but the mellow mushroom will walk over your order if you call the restaurant (it's right next door). I believe you can also bring your own food into the brewery. The brewery has a lot of tables inside and outside to allow numerous people to drink. I'm not a huge drinker and I found thing on the drink menu I liked. If you're in town or it's a drive it's all worth it. The bartenders are attentive and quick. No one has waited for more than a couple of minutes (reality like 2, if that). They even have a small gift shop and a clean bathroom and a public hand...
