I get it was a busy day but don’t take it out on your customers. I wanted to come on here and say that I’ve had some very good experiences coming to this place and I was happy to know that the original owner’s son was taking over but recently I was in shock with how the new owner treated me. I had ordered and patiently waited knowing it was a busy day for the staff and once I finally got my order, I didn’t realize it at first but once I sat down I saw that I was missing another Pepsi. I was sitting outside with my family and went back inside to politely ask the owner for another coke. He very rudely said I never ordered another coke and was so sure about it. Instead of saying “oh our mistake, maybe we couldn’t hear you”. Mind you I NEVER was given a receipt, only a number to wait. He kept talking over me until he got frustrated and said “ok what do you want”. I never wanted to argue and I was in total shock when he treated me the way he did. I never wanted anything free if that’s what he was assuming but he did not hear me from all the noise and I’m positive I had ordered 2 cokes. I don’t know if he treated me this way based off how Hispanic people are being treated nowadays with all the political news going on but I was upset after this. I have other family that comes here and I was telling them how I couldn’t believe this guy after I had talked so good about this place. Even his cooks were surprised. Please just give customers a chance to speak and give them receipts to avoid...
Read moreThe Food is Great But Not the workers for many reason.
The customer is always right you should know that by now in 2022 God save us.
The food quality is good but the sanitation is a complete failure and not modern.
There should be more items on the menu not just Gyros as a highlight.
Other locations like Dengeos is also Greek but applies the American Touch of hospitality and Fairness but judging the Customers like Fratellos does all the time.
People say it’s fresh food but not all the time due to negative attitude and lack of a PROFESSIONAL KITCHEN AND STAFF.
The location is bad because right in the middle of the intersection and dangerous speeds coming from traffic.
A lot of the workers due not have professional cooking experience just guys from the street or family that knows the same language?
My friend order a hamburger and the meet had a bad smell to it like left outside for days and that is not The American PROFESSIONAL WAY IN AMERICA.
This not a White Collar Restaurant where they put the customers before their pride and get the job done.
Wendy’s is Fresh literally all the time, McDonald’s is also fresh, Dengeos is fresh, Portillos is great and so much more white collar professional kitchens are doing great with excellent modern American Service.
Fratellos is ego centric and Judges the customer is wrongly manner with no real talent and filled with...
Read moreFor years we've driven by Fratellos and finally stopped in. It was a cold and rainy fall afternoon and we were the only people in the seating area.
Fratellos is a real old-style Chicago hot dog joint. Dogs, Polish, Burgers, Tamales, Chili, Fries, Malts, and more. Unlike other hot dog places, the fries are purchased and served separately and not wrapped up with the dog. And, they are not cheap - one burger, one small drink, one gyro, and a shared fries was $19.
The seating area was not particularly clean. There are about a dozen booths with sticky tables. We tried to find one that was clean but didn't have much luck.
The fries are not hand cut as you find in other places, but they were good - very crisp. As for the burger, the meat was mushy - perhaps ground too fine although I'm certain they don't grind their own meat. The gyro was just okay. Personally, I like it when they cut it off the skewer and crisp the meat before serving. And, the pita was warmed in a microwave and not grilled on a flattop.
Nope - too many other places around that are better and...
