Señor Tacos — Restaurant in Palatine Township

Not sure if I just caught them on a bad day, but today was the first and last time I'll be visiting Senor tacos. The cashier was super distracted and had to repeatedly ask my order and would would tell it back to me wrong ( my order was simply a chicken enchiladas Verde dinner, no rice and a cup of water). I sit down in a mostly empty restaurant and 15 minutes later ask where my food is. They had forgotten about my order. While they were cooking I got a basket with 6 chips in it. They were super greasy and tasted like they don't change their oil very often. Dinner came. Parts of the beans were actually cold. The cheese on top was melted in some parts but not others. It looks like they just microwaved it, but not long enough to actually get the food hot. There was a little "salad"in the corner of the plate. It was all limp like it had been sitting out to long and it had picked up a funky mildew taste like it was stored in the same refrigerator that had something rotten in it. With tax, it was almost $13 for a rather small plate of enchiladas and a glass of water, which is on the high end for a hole in the wall style taco place. I eat at new Mexican restaurants as often as I can, it's a hobby, and have probably been to a couple hundred places. This easily ranks in the bottom 10% of...

My first time here, restaurant was empty cashier was very rude. I greeted him, he ignored me. It was obvious I was looking at the menu on the wall. He asked me twice in 90 seconds if I was ready to order. I looked around to see what the rush was. I ordered my food finally. A couple of minutes later he asked me to pay, I said can I get a minute I might order more food. He didn't seem to happy about that. Decided to just pay and not order more food.

Tonight 09/11 walked in at 8pm, online shows closing time at 9pm. Same guy at the cashier, older man, always wearing a red shirt, glasses. Again didn't bother greeting me and nor the person with me, instead he said "carry out right? Because we close in 20 minutes." Just the tone, the attitude behind it. I looked at my guest and said "told you, very rude service" and walked out.

I really hope this guy isn't the owner. Regardless of who he is to the restaurant he needs to treat paying customers more politely.

The food was average at best, but not many options around this area. Definitely would never recommend this place to anyone as long as he's at...

It was decent. The guy(s) behind the counter could be a bit nicer to the customers coming in for the first time. The guy was not very pleasant, nor friendly. His attitude was more like "hurry up, make your food order and get lost!"

Also, the tacos were small, very small and given the price. I thought they were overpriced.

I ordered two tacos, one steak and one chicken. It totalled out to be over $8 ...😵‍💫WTF?! No drink, no sides!

I think the guy just added some (bs) charge to my bill. Over $4 per taco??

At the end of the day....I'm sure I won't go back....the tacos were tasty, and I pass by the place eveyday going to and from the hospital while working, I wouldn't go back...none the less.

Too expensive and the customer service needs work.
