Lori's — Restaurant in Palatka

I had time to kill while traveling to Gainsville so I decided to stop at this breakfast diner I happened to be passing by in Palatka Florida. I was greeted as soon as I came in and was told I could sit anywhere I would like. I sat next to a window and was waited on almost immediately by a very nice young lady named Mia. I ordered orange juice, water, a meat Omelette, hashbrowns crispy, and rye toast wet I had my orange juice and water very quickly. My meal came within 7 minutes. I was very happy with my meal. The food and service I recieved were excellent. If I had to say anything bad it would be the Omelette could have used more cheese but it was still very good. If you get near Palatka and have some time you should stop at Loris and have a nice meal with great service. Ask for Mia because she...

Grungy diner on Crill/20 in Palatka. I had the one-egg breakfast with 2 sides: grits and a biscuit. $3.75. Added 2 sausage patties, $2.25. The egg was sunny side up but not cooked that well, a little runny. The biscuit was kind of mediocre, like a packaged biscuit from Winn-Dixie or something, and the bottom was burned black, inedible. The sausage was not very tasty and kind of hard, took some effort to cut with a fork. On the plus side, the grits were okay. I also had OJ, which was okay, about McDonald's quality.

The food is great, but the service could be a lot better. I have waited to do a review on this place and it seems every time I come the service is crap. This time I sat for 5 minutes before I got up and went to the cashier and said I would like to eat here. One of the waitresses that was just standing in the back finally came out and took my order. Before this time I came and again the food was great, but the service never came. I never got a refill on my drink and my mother never got a refill on her coffee.
