I am a big Tex mex lover, I am from Jacksonville and I grew up eating Little Mexico in Palestine. I went and read several recent reviews and it seems they’ve went completely downhill so I searched and stumbled across Mario’s. Never been but the reviews spoke for themselves. I’m 5 months pregnant so I’m a big critic. We walked in and were immediately greeted and seated no wait. Got our drinks and salsa within 3 minutes no joke. Soda was fresh and very crisp. Salsa was delicious, I decided to order a cup of their queso. It came in what seemed like a blink of an eye. It was hot and definitely some of the best queso I’ve had.. we finished the whole serving. I kept it simple and ordered enchiladas with rice and beans , my husband ordered asada fries and my son ordered their kids chicken quesadilla and rice. Everything was brought hot fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back! I don’t mind driving 30 minutes for food food, customer service was amazing as well. Our server was VERY...
Read moreFood was nothing special, but not bad either. My wife's daquiri was very good. Service was ngl kinda bad. Part of the TexMex experience is to nibble on chips and salsa for idk 5 or 10 minutes before your food comes. We were seated right away, a busboy appeared with good chips and VERY garlicky salsa within a minute. Polite young waitress gets drink order within one minute of busboy, brings drinks quickly and takes food order. So far so good. Food comes out about 3 minutes later so we hardly put a dent in the chips/salsa! Food was hot and fresh, probably a high=volume item they have at the ready on a Sat night. Waitress checks if food's ok after ~ 3 minutes then walks back to the bar area and plants face in phone. We were staring at her and her two-coworkers hoping one of them would look up momentarily so we could get the check. This went on for at least 10 minutes. I felt like a chump for giving her 20% but kids...
Read moreAnother great day spent with my son and his wife in Palestine going through their storage locker, and right out side I spied Mario's Mexican Grill so we decided to give it a try, we weren't disappointed. We had a great waitress, and their food was delicious. As usual we started out with a queso, along with chips and salsa. My son and his wife both had enchilada dinners with beans and rice and I had a Camaro'n Diablo dinner, grilled spicy shrimp on a bed of rice with steamed vegetables, pico and guacamole, this was great and very tasty. I decided to go a little farther since my son was driving and had a Mangonada Margarita, beautiful to look at, and a great flavor, that along would bring me back, so till next...
