I used to dine here 3-4 days a week. I spent nearly ten grand here in the last year. The servers and bartenders are excellent, food and drinks are good.
But the "Managing Partner" who identified himself as Brian Martin treated me so shockingly horribly and displayed, in my opinion, such staggering incompetence at running a restaurant that I will never be back. In a nutshell, unruly customers were screaming and creating a disturbance such that I could not enjoy my meal- my head was splitting from it, and it the screaming disturbance continued for over 20 minutes non-stop. At least three other people sitting near me were complaining. Aforementioned management failed to address the situation whatsoever.
Making matters worse, a half hour later the unruly party that was the subject of my earlier complaint came all the way across the restaurant to where I was sitting, and got in my face (literally 2 inches from my face) while I was eating my food, gave me grief for my earlier complaint about his party, tried to start a fight, and would not leave me be.
The manager came to my seat, where this unruly customer was in my face while I was trying to eat and the first words out of his mouth were a rude and nasty demand that * I * leave!! I was in stunned disbelief that the manager was ordering ME to leave, when all I was doing was trying to eat my dinner in peace, and this guy had trekked from an opposite corner of the restaurant to get in my face at my seat! And the "managing partner" demanded that I pay for the food I had not yet eaten due to him ordering me out of the restaurant before I could eat it. When I told him I wouldn't pay for food he was depriving me the opportunity to eat, he called the police.
Now, I am not in the least bit a troublemaker. Many of the servers here know me as a regular, and know that I am always quiet, never intoxicated, I mind my own business, I am polite and friendly, I tip well, and I never cause any trouble.
This "Manager" by his own admission was aware of all this. Yet he still allowed the people creating a disturbance and picking a fight AT MY SEAT to continue behavior that has no place in a restaurant, and kicked out a good customer for complaining about being disturbed and subsequently harassed?!
How can someone this clueless be in the position of managing a service-oriented business?! How can he fail to understand that when people go out to a nice restaurant such as a Chili's, they are paying not just for the food, but for the atmosphere and dining experience?
How can this "manager" fail to comprehend that, and to allow endless screaming and horseplay to continue unaddressed? How can his judgment be so incompentently poor to kick out the guy sitting at his seat trying to eat his dinner and not the guy who came across the restaurant to get in a customer's face while he was in his own seat eating?
I'll miss Chili's, but there are a LOT of other nice restaurants in the immediate area that will appreciate my 10K per year... with management that understands a concept I had thought would be self evident- that continuous screaming and screeching is entirely inappropriate in a restaurant.
Lastly, the "managing partner" told the police to tell me I was not to come back that night but was welcome back in the future. WHAT?!? Does this guy actually think I would give him one red cent of my money ever again after how he...
Read moreI was soo excited to try out this Chili’s restaurant! However, during these hard COVID times, my entire experience made me feel like I definitely should have invested my hard-earned money somewhere else!
I walked into the front of the restaurant and waited by the greeters podium, which points directly to the entrance. I waited for the greeter to arrive, and when she did, she did everything she could to avoid acknowledging me. After about 10 minutes of waiting for her to help, watching her fidget with everything around her, greet and seat two other parties that walked in, I finally decided to ask if I would receive any service. Her response was “Ooh I thought you were someone else.” She then directed me to the To-Go counter.
As I waited in line, the cashier was being super helpful with another customer. When it was my turn, he asked my name, I told him, and he looked at the rack with all the orders. Keep in mind, there was only one order on the rack, with the receipt taped to it, with my name highlighted in marker. However, it took him three attempts to look at the rack, and to walk into the back, to find my order. The third time he walked into the back, I looked at the order on the rack, saw it was mine, and placed it on the counter. When he returned, he saw the order and asked me, “Where did that come from? Was that there the whole time? I’ve been looking all over for that order!”
For an order that was ready the moment I arrived, I don’t understand why it took over 20 minutes for me to complete my transaction. I also don’t understand why the service from every staff member that night was so horrible. I don’t know if it was the way I looked, if it was a racial thing, or if it was a genuine stupidity thing. What I do know is that was the first and last time that I will ever give that location my business! You have definitely given your location, and the brand a bad name. I don’t ever leave reviews (good or bad), but the experience was so unbelievable, I felt the...
Read moreI actually enjoy going to Chili's. Curb-Side (park at curb-side & walk-in to get your order) but its ok because its easier to check the order before your get home. *Although the VERY LAST THING they should put in your boxes is the FRENCH FRIES. Maybe (just a suggestion) when you see the car for the order pulling up (put them in) or ask what time they will be there, instead if just telling "Your order will be ready in 15-20 minutes". I know for s fact that it takes me 10 minutes just to get out of my house then another 15-20 minutes before I even get everything done before I can get to Chili's. This way I can ensure my family and myself have Hot/WARM Food. 90% of the time we have to reheat the food. Thank the Lord the mini oven makes it taste the same and doesn't ruin the food. But there is ONE experience that is still leaving me unsatisfied. A few months ago, I took my daughter in for soup, salad, and nachos all you can eat. Well we didn't want the nachos and the waitress Volunteered to just give us a to-go package for each order and that was fine because of my family at home that day. And when we got home I realized they weren't in there, I don't like paying for something but not receive it. I tried to order without them she said that wasn't possible. Well I called and talked to "The manager, she is really nice, petite ,short blonde hair, she makes sure to come to your table at least once sometimes twice, talks to you and is one of the beat managers I've met in a long time. BUT she asked if I want her to just mail me a coupon or gift card I don't remember, or go up there and get the chips and I gave her my name and address because I was home and to drive up there for 2 things of chips. But I still haven't received anything from her so I honestly have been yet. Not say I won't but that is really...
