New place in Bayside Lakes and I was excited to try some Kobe and Poke on a Saturday evening. They have an online menu that was pretty easy to follow and ordering was a breeze. Price wise I thought it was a bit overpriced but I figured everything is overpriced today, eggs are $4 a dozen, sorry I strayed from the Poke. I picked up all my food, chicken and salmon, salmon and scallops and shrimp yakisoba. The hibachi combination came with cooked carrots, cooked vegetables(zucchini and mushrooms), fried rice and a small soup. The soup was light and actually tasted good, it was quite easy for me to chug it down. That was the highlight of the meal ! The rice seemed as if it was good rice, it had good texture but it seemed as if soy sauce was the only thing added to make it fried rice - I was not impressed with the fried in the fried rice. Chicken and salmon’s was sweet and too much salt I was not at all happy with taste and so was the rest of my family. The salmon was also over cooked and hard on the edges. The carrots were way overcooked and it was sugar high, not my type of sweet carrot. Now I give my opinion, my taste buds just maybe working different from other patrons and by no means am I an expert at cooking, maybe a culinary professional might devour this meal and believe it is the best thing since sliced bread, for me it was mediocre at best. Positive side is that my son enjoyed the yakisoba, I didn’t taste it but since he spent some years in Japan I took his word that it was good. This is a new place so I know that some times it take a while for a restaurant to operate like a well oiled machine, for now I will have to stay away. If they last for a year I will go back and try again. I gave 3 stars because of my son’s position comment and the soup. Good luck with...
Read moreLove the idea of this place and for the nice service and hard workers in the joint it's hard to be so harsh on them, but it really is that bad.
Food: The portions are incredibly small and overpriced especially if you go with the Yakisoba. You'd think you are at a gourmet restaurant and while the flavor of the noodles is pretty good you won't get more than a couple of bites. The fried rice is relatively bland and the veggies just have some sort of bad taste to them that the ones from typical Hibachi style places don't.
Boba: Probably the only place to get Boba in Palm Bay from what I can tell, but even then it's not good. Despite this, it's definitely the only place around that offers a Honeydew Milk tea on their menu. Drawback being, the color looks gross and if you're unlucky you'll get undercooked/somehow crumbly tapioca which from my visits is about 3/10 times. I desperately want to enjoy it but it just doesn't have the taste other places do with their Honeydew milk teas. If you choose to suffer, stick with the fruit teas here and any kind of jelly.
All in all I can't recommend unless you've got money to throw away for sub par food. I want so badly to enjoy it and every now and then I'll convince myself it's not that bad just to come back and be disappointed each time. Stick with Lin's Garden, Thai Bayside, or even make the trip down to Minton for Hibachi Express...
Read moreOrdered through UberEats but wasn't able to post a review on there, so I figured I'd do it here... I stumbled across this little gem while I was delivering for DoorDash. The couple times I picked up from here, the food smelled so good it made my mouth water. I've had one of their menus on the fridge for a while and thankfully decided to give them a try and WAS BLOWN AWAY! It exceeded my expectations and tasted even better than it smelled!
The food was so fresh, filling and unbelievably tasty! And the portions were GIGANTIC! The staff weren't only sweet, friendly and welcoming in person, but ended up being extremely accommodating, helpful and amazing with my picky family members preferences on the delivery, too!
By far, hands down, the best Kobe/Hibachi place, not just in the area, but that I've ever been to! This is seriously the 1st restaurant that I've found to be a complete 10 out of 10 in a looooonnnng, long time! Take my advice, and try them out! I guarantee you, your 1st order won't be your last! .... Tonight definitely won't be mine! Lol 😏🤤😁
Side note **Might sound like I'm exaggerating but I'm not! I don't know them on a personal level or gaining anything from this! (Other than my new favorite place to eat) I truthfully never go this in depth on a review, but they truly deserve all the praise! ...
