I will NEVER give my business to this place again. The first time I went I had a pedi and an acrylic fill; the tech rushed my pedicure and was done before 15 minutes was up while other clients who were there before me were still getting their feet massaged and when I asked if she could work on my feet longer, she ignored me. Then she started on my nails and cut my cuticles 3 times to where they bled, she didn’t treat the cuts and got upset when I asked her not to use a dirty nail file on my open wounds, furthermore she barely filed my nails so that they looked crooked. I complained that I was not happy with the way my nails came out and she kept saying that it was supposed to be her day off and she had places to be too and that she did the best that she could. I had to pay someone else to fix them.
I ended up going back there yesterday because the other place I normally go to couldn’t fit me in and all I needed was to have my acrylics taken off. I started taking off my acrylics myself at home on one hand unsuccessfully so I decided to just go back to bayside nails. For starters, the tech didn’t even soak my nails in acetone and began to rip my acrylics off. I was literally crying and told her that she was really hurting me and asked if she could soak them, she said they did have a soak but she never got up to get it and told me to look away and it wouldn’t hurt. She didn’t file or buff my nails smooth after she was done like other salons do after she was done torturing me and when I asked her to file my nails she tried to tell me I needed to put gel on my nails. I kept telling her I don’t want anything else on my nails and to just file them straight, which she then said it would be a manicure. I said that was fine and to please just fix my nails and cuticles... again all she did was barely touch my nails with the nail file and sprayed my hands with water, no soak, no hand massage, no fixing my cuticles. When I asked her if she was going to actually give me a manicure, she started talking in Vietnamese to her co worker as if she was complaining about me so I told her to forget the whole thing, I was done and I didn’t want the manicure anymore. When I went to pay, they charged me $11 for just ripping off the acrylics on one hand since I’d already done one hand prior to going there even though their prices on the wall clearly said “nail take-off - $5.10”. When I asked why she was charging me $11 instead of the listed price she started talking in her language again and laughing, then she said that price was old. The owner came up to me and looked at my nails and said “they look real good” even though they’re chipped and weren’t filed. I paid their damn $11 but left no tip and I will make sure to let everyone I know not to take their...
Read moreStay away from Bayside nail salon! Bayside nails management is horrible. Management doesn’t practice good customer service or any loyalty to their longtime customers. I have been going to Bayside nails faithfully for almost 6 years because I loved my nail technician Callie who left due to pregnancy and then I started allowing Helen to do my nails, who has been great! To make a long story short, I went in for my usual Gel manicure and regular pedicure. I pick out a plum color from the nail chart and notice when it was applied to my toes it was red instead of plum. I immediately pointed it out to Helen my nail tech by placing the color chart with color I selected next to my toenails she had polished. Helen and other nail tech next to her “said that they had told the female owner who manages the nail salon before about this issue.” I was told by Helen that the chart was old and new colors were different , meaning the charts were not updated to accordingly to numbers on the color chart and the Gel and regular polish was different from each other. Funny thing customer next to me said this had happen to her before as well ( toes and nails not matching what was selected). I had Helen to proceed with doing my Gel manicure again the color came out red not plum, Helen found a plum color that I wanted , but a totally different number from their chart and offered to redo my polish. I decline her offer, because I had already been there for 2 hours, my time is valuable and the chart should be up to date with colors as they come for the customer . Helen also pointed it out to the store owner /manager and I did as well before checking out. She acted dumb and repeatedly stated the “charts were old.” She offered me nothing or No solution to rectify the issue. Also, back in January this year my daughter got married I took her to Bayside to have a Chrome dip done, which the owner did, my daughter was not happy with the job! I should have walked away then, because of the poor customer service she experience before her wedding. Bayside nails has loss me as regular customer forever. Think twice before going to Bayside and always check your color Gel and regular polish to make sure that...
Read moreI've been there a few times and this last time the lady whom I last went to a week before wasn't in yet. I called the day before to let them know ahead of time that my nail chipped. I had dipping powder. Because the dipping powder chipped off of one nail the nail was exposed and also chipped my nail later on. I was told no appointment was needed to just come in. When I got there the lady who did my nails hadn't arrived yet. It was after 10 am. When she walked in they told her in their language that I was there for a repair. She seemed annoyed. When I sat down I said good morning, how are you doing and she replied fine with an attitude. She proceeded to find my color which she couldn't find at first which made her more upset. She then slammed everything down and asked how the nail chipped. I told her I reached for something and it chipped the corner. I very nicely just commented that I may just get gel next time because the dipping powder seems to chip more easily. Before I could finish she cut me off speaking to the lady beside her in their language and attitude is universal no matter what language you're speaking. I knew she was saying something rude. She then turns to me and says very rudely that it's my fault not the dipping powder . I broke my nail not the powder . So I calmly stated , no the powder chipped on top of my real nail first exposing my nail and so later on that peice of my nail also chipped because it was left exposed. She said nothing. Just kept talking in a nasty tone to the lady next to her who didn't reply to her at all. She just looked nervous. Once she was done she slammed her stuff and said ok bye, bye, bye. I asked her how much since I could see she was so upset about it and she said no bye! I have nicely tipped this same woman each time I came to her prior to this visit and she behaved nicely calling me baby. Now when she saw me as an annoyance because of a repair that wouldn't make her any money she treated me like trash. I will NEVER step foot in there again. That's very...
