I feel that some attention should be brought to the current and future customers of the establishment. I am a finatic of delicious tasting foods from other places such as Kiki’s, Debra’s Dinner and Yolk. And by far I was quite dissatisfied with such a simple meal as pancakes, sausage and bacon. The simplicity of the meal was not what caught my attention but rather the taste of the food. Out of the slices given, the bacon felt underdeveloped, or undercooked. The sausage caused a bitter sensation as if being held for a couple of days before being prepped. And the pancakes delivered the final blow, having pockets of uncooked dough. To this occurrence, I immediately informed the individual serving me and they offered to get the attention of the manager. But that extent, the manager offered the meal to be free, and I accepted. However, what astounded me the most from the establishment is that, from where I was attended, I could hear the cooks in the back being very bosterous. Unsettling, was what they were yelling about, “where’s that N**?!” To my amazement, every other employee seemed to act as if no one had heard what was just announced. I never expected not only horrible food but I experienced the demonization of an employee due to their skin color. We don’t live in a generation of racism anymore, It’s time that...
Read moreI usually love coming to this restaurant, and I always sit with Kristi— she’s the reason I’ve continued to come back. Unfortunately, she wasn’t there during my recent visit, and the experience was the complete opposite of what I’m used to.
During my visit, the server openly shared political opinions — including support for specific politicians and legislation — in a way that felt intrusive and unprofessional. As a paying customer, I shouldn’t have to feel uncomfortable or like I’m being subjected to someone’s personal views while just trying to enjoy brunch.
In addition to that, the TV that was playing in the background featured content that wasn’t appropriate for all audiences. If they want to keep the TVs on, it would be better to show something neutral and family-friendly — or just leave them off altogether to maintain a relaxed environment.
That said, I do want to give credit where it’s due. Kristi has always provided amazing service — professional, welcoming, and fun. If you’re planning to visit this brunch spot, I highly recommend calling ahead to see if Kristi is working. She creates the kind of experience that makes guests feel valued and comfortable.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously — not as a complaint, but as a reminder of what great hospitality...
Read moreThis was once The Boulevard and was always packed. We loved it. We stopped by today for breakfast and was surprised it had changed owners. It was about 10am on a Saturday and only about a quarter full. Hmmm. We were seated and within a minute we were bombarded by 2 waitresses asking what we wanted to order. We didn’t even have time to read the menu. They have specials and we both ordered a special. We were on diets that didn’t allow us to have carbs. I ordered the veggie omelette and didn’t want the toast or hash browns that came with it. I asked if I could have a few tomato slices instead. OMG. You would have thought I had asked for the moon. Definitely not! But then when my omelette came, it had a large slice of melon on the side. Which I couldn’t eat. I mentioned that I thought it was odd that they wouldn’t give me 2 slices of tomato but then gave me a large slice of melon. We were trying to have a conversation but every 2 minutes one of the many waitresses would interrupt us to ask if we wanted anything. It really was annoying. The omelette was fluffy but the atmosphere is not the same and we both decided we would not be back. They have their rules and way of doing things and that is their choice. It’s just not the same cozy, welcoming place...
