Cook St. Market & Deli — Restaurant in Palm Desert

We have not yet experienced eating at Cook St Market, but do love their menu. So much, that we put in an online order! Upon pickup was told they don't take online orders😳huh? But, but..our Cooke st Market here in HONOLULU said, not us..OMG our order is in Palm Desert CALIFORNIA. I called them and advised of the mistake but they had already prepared our 5 orders, c'est la vie, such is life. To our delight, James (owner) called to say he would refund our order. No customer service skills whatsoever. Don’t be fooled by the “Hello” upon entrance. I now understand why other customers walking in didn’t even acknowledge the older woman at checkout. I Will not be going back. Don’t recommend. Older woman at checkout falsely accused me of having a counterfeit $20 bill and made it super awkward!! Pros: The food is OK. It's in a convenient location. Staff is friendly. Cons: Diet coke option has been broken for weeks. Confusing to actually submit the order through the self KIOSK. Once the oder has been submitted it's a hit or miss on wether the deli staff actually gets it, or if they do remember to make it. Unfortunately around here we either have this place or Alkobar.
