Alkobar Quick Stop & Deli — Restaurant in Palm Desert

It was ok but it was just cheese sauce and sour cream sauce on fries and some kind of shredded beef. Looks like cheese steak that they kind of substitute for carne asada.And it was mostly fries. I don't think this is worth 18 dollars. I used to come here years ago and I don't remember the price being this high. I do remember the portions like this so I kind of laughed at myself after the girl at the register told me it's a giant portion because the portion stayed the same but the price went up. I also noticed the guy that ordered the same thing AFTER ME got his first. Kind of messed up. And if that wasn't enough, two guys just kind of started standing right above me and put their drink down right in front of me when I was about halfway done. Plenty of seating outside but they just wanted my spot. Yeah, for the same price I could get good carne fries and not be bothered by these kinds of people, jealous or whatever their problem was with me. Parking not exactly easy either. I mean, one would think with all this inconvenience that it would at least be cheaper but they act like they are a full...

Incredible staff, incredible food. Absolute plethora of drink options is a massive plus, it's really that diverse!! Great snack options as well and of course their grill is fantastic. I have only had the bacon philly cheese so far and it was incredible. The bread was great, the quality of meat was great, the ratio of meet to peppers was great, the sauce was great and the service was spectacular. I participated in an amazing thing they do on Sundays only called "you buy we fry".... this is an amazing thing. Want a twinky tossed into a deep fryer in pancake batter, done, red vines? Done... frozen burrito for a quick chimichanga?? Done. I went for some oreos. Not only dud they fry then but they topped them with a sliver of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate and strawberry sauce. INCREDIBLE. The warm cookie with the ice cold sliver of ice cream on top was an awesome combination. 5 stars here for a very well ran, family fun spot to get some...

VERY RUDE!!! ANDREA NEEDS BE TO FIRED IMMEDIATELY !!! what type of "manager" hangs up on their customers when all i was doing was calling to let them know about the amount of chicken i was given on my salad(which might i add was literally 3 pieces of chicken that looked like it had already been picked at!) and then i was accused of "eating the chicken" when asked to sent proof of the amount i was given ! I come here often but after today and the way i was treated i will no longer be coming here ! Also when i did mention how they will be losing a paying / dedicated customer ANDREA told me "oh well to bad I don't care"!!! She is definitely not someone who should representing this establishment much less have the power of calling her self a "manager" FIRE HER...
