Where do we start?! So luckily we popped in just before the line started, phew! This place was the PLACE TO BE!! We made our order, and in the past, I have asked for deconstructed sandwiches as our youngest does not / cannot eat a sandwich. It seems like a simple request, usually met with confusion or hostility. NOT AT THE LUNCH SPOT! The wonderful, amazing, kind lady who took our order, had zero confusion, was so down and totally understood. I even asked for the roll in advance, as he was getting hungry and it was not an issue at all. Our son’s plate came out PERFECT. So freaking perfect. They took the time to even slice up the cheese (I would have been okay with the slice being whole) but they sliced the meat, the cheese, the pickles, cucumbers, all of it, it was so perfect in presentation, I should have gotten a photo. The other sandwiches we ordered were so INCREDIBLE. The spicy slaw is the most delicious and simple item we have had in a while. My sandwich was out of this world both in flavor and size 🤣🤣🤣 our other sandwich was incredible flavor and ample in protein. Loved the pickles, the chips were great. The ambiance is so cute; everyone we interacted with was so kind and nice, and honestly, I wish we knew about this place sooner. We are not local. You locals are lucky and need to go see them! I’ve been coming here for almost 3 years now and this place has never disappointed. From the service, the quality of food, the atmosphere and over all excellence this place has to offer. The owners are right there on the front lines working to ensure the culture and standards are upheld. They have a strong hold in the community and they easily have some of the best sandwiches in the entire Coachella Valley, hands down. This place will always have my heart and my tummy’s loyalty. If you’re passing through or a local who has yet to bless yourself (and tastebuds) with the experience of this outstanding mom and pop shop, don’t wait any longer. If they are busy when you walk in, be patient. It’s for a good reason. Everything is made fresh to order. These are real people, not robotic production lines. They are putting love, heart and soul into every meal they craft. Your patience is not only appreciated, it’s required- greatness takes time.

Not sure how this place got so many rave reviews. They were so deceptive with their practices. After ordering the soup of the day plus a couple of sandwiches, we waited at least 20 minutes. Then the sandwiches came out. After another 10 minutes, we were still waiting for the soup. Then the counter (for ordering) told a customer that they were out of soup and the previous customer got the last of it. This was after 20+ minutes and many customers since we ordered soup. I go to the counter and ask about our soup. They asked what size, which was regular. They said it would be out in a minute. The soup was delivered to the counter and it was watery and frankly disgusting. It looked exactly like it would if you took the minimal amount stuck to the bottom of the pot and mixed it with a good amount of water. Also, looking at the bill, they charged us for tomatoes on one of the sandwiches after asking for no tomatoes (plus there were tomatoes on it).
