INSANELY DELICIOUS!!!! 🤩🤩🤩 Absolutely loved every bite of every dish!! Will definitely be coming back again!! Had the Caprese Mamma Gina for an appetizer. The "Burrata" cheese had a nice creamy inside and was the best caprese I've ever had! There was also focaccia and sourdough bread to snack on, which my husband and 4 year old son really enjoyed. I ordered the Salmon and a side dish of gluten free penne with a creamy mushroom sauce. My husband had the carbonara and our son had a small dish of fettuccine for dinner. We also ordered the panna cotta and the Napoleon for dessert. The salmon was very good, but would have been even better with a cream sauce instead. The side dish of gluten free penne with a creamy mushroom sauce - the sauce was OMG delicious!! I tried to scrape every bit of sauce from the bowl when I was done and was very tempted to lick the bowl clean! My husband really liked the carbonara and our son actually ate most of his fettuccine, which is rare. My husband said the fettuccine our son ate was a little boring, but our kid loved it. It probably goes really well with shrimp or chicken though. The panna cotta was also delicious - at first it tasted a bit like if horchata was made into pudding, which was surprisingly yummy, but then the creamy flavor took center stage and finished the dessert out nicely. On a side note, there were two raspberries and one small blueberry on top of the panna cotta. It's kinda hard to mess up raspberries, but there are so many different flavors of blueberries - the blueberry on top of mine was perfect! It was a sweet blueberry that reminded me of these wild blueberries from Maine I had a long time ago. My husband and son liked the Napoleon dessert, which is a flaky pastry with what seems like good cannoli filling in between the layers. He said it tasted good, but not really amazing. The service here was also top notch - the manager gave our son some paper and crayons to color with, empty plates were cleaned up promptly, and when I wanted to add the side order of pasta to my order, I was able to flag down the manager and it was delivered while I was still eating my main meal. Overall the food was very delicious and we will definitely be...
Read moreWaited a while to really think about this review ;( We went for my birthday, so I was excited to finally try Mana Gina. Biggest disappointment in a long time. Food was repulsive 🤮🤮🤮 First of all, that’s place was dark and depressing. I guess everybody knows how horrible the food is because we were the only ones sitting at a table in the area. My sister ordered the bill and it was raw and cold. I ordered pasta and asked for marinara and it came in a very heavy cream sauce! My Husband ’s pasta was unrecognizable. We honestly didn’t know what it was??? My Daughter ordered shrimp and a couple who joined us ordered salmon and said it was the worst meal they’ve had in El Paseo. This is such a big disappointment! The food was just an edible and repulsive. I honestly will never forget this birthday because we were also disappointed and it was really a depressing night. It came out to a few hundred dollars merely 700. And I just felt awful that my sister felt obligated to pay for this ;( When you walk into a restaurant and the places is empty, use your better judgment and walk outside this place was disgusting and so overpriced!!!
PS My husband and I had a make up dinner at the cliff house With a friend for her birthday, After going to Mama Gina, we weren’t expecting much ;( The food was phenomenal. We will never forget that delicious dinner! That’s just made us even more turned off at even the sight of Mama Gina! Save your money save your time in town. Have a disgusting meal at Mama Gina’s for 100’s of dollars ;((( If I could give them a -100 that’s what I Would give this...

We came here for dinner and we were little early for dining area so we sat by the bar. Atmosphere looked really good. We were greeted by our waitress after we sat down and ordered the drinks. She came back for the food order, but didn't even ask if we have any questions or anything, seemed rushing. I asked if they could do Gluten free pasta and she said they can but it cooks in the same water. And I was asking gluten free related questions, she seemed very irritated by it and she was rude with her answers.
If you are a restaurant and offering gluten free options, you have to provide safe environment to cook it & serve. You cant just assume it is a trend and people are asking gf to look cool. Some people have heavy allergic situations and their body can't handle it well.
Our waitress didn't even bothered to go ask her manager or even kitchen to see if they could boil the water in a seperately but told us they don't have space in their kitchen 🤣 if you have a restaurant to accomodate over 100 people, you need to provide for what's needed in your kitchen.
Our table liked their food but serving sizes were small and I had to go with a very small salad with grilled chicken.
I don't think we are coming back due to not safe allergen environment. You cant just list gluten free and vegan options and give them a different food than what they are expecting. And if your waitress is also rude, your experience turns in to a...
