Shake Shack El Paseo — Restaurant in Palm Desert

I had never heard of this business till a recent trip, where I had a layover in Dallas and I tried it simply because it was near my gate. One of the best decisions I've ever made because it was delicious! So I was stoked to learn that we have a location in our valley & despite it being small and a little far away, I had to come to my local Shake Shack. This location has self ordering kiosks, which I don't mind but they should also provide disinfecting wipes to clean them off. Also in regard to the kiosk, I hate that we have to bypass the tipping feature, just remove it I am placing my own order for Pete's sake! Anyway the food comes out to my specifications and was as delicious as my first encounter, the fries could have been a little hotter and there really should have been more of them for the price but so so good. I think they are my favorite fries in the industry and I'll put their chicken sandwich up against any of your favs! 😂 Loved it, will definitely make the trip again but fingers crossed for at least a Cathedral...

ANDREA ASSISTED ME AT THE KIOSK WHEN I WAS HAVING DIFFICULTY GETTING BOTH BURGERS TO SHOW ON THE FINAL BILL. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE BAR B QUE FLAVOR I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED WHEN SHE GAVE ME A SMALL SAMPLE OF THE SAUCE IN A CONTAINER FOR ME TO TRY ON MY REGULAR BURGER IN CASE I WANTED TO GET THE BAR B QUE BURGER ON A FUTURE VISIT. I TRIED IT ON MY REGULAR BURGER AND I CAN TRULY SAY THAT THE SAUCE IS THE BEST I HAVE TASTED! IT HAS A FIRED SMOKE TASTE THAT MAKES YOU FEEL AS THOUGH YOU ARE OUTDOORS AT A CAMPSITE! GREAT TASTE! ANDREA DESERVES A RANKING OF (10) FOR HER THOUGHTFULNESS! THE COST OF FOOD IS A LITTLE HIGHER THAN MOST. HOWEVER, I HAVE BECOME ADDICTED THE ANGUS BEEF BURGERS AND THE MUSHROOM BURGER, SO I REALLY DON'T HAVE A CHOICE BUT TO KEEP COMING...

I was excited to try Shake Shack for the first time! Perhaps I expected too much, but it is on El Paseo. Walking in the atmosphere hits you as ghetto industrial...polished, ugly concrete floors with uncomfortable wood and metal boring tables/chairs. They obviously want you to use kiosks to order, not my optimal choice for a new food experience. The food was brought out promptly and the employee couldn't have been nicer. The food, well, I had a regular single burger and a vanilla shake. It was nothing to rave about as the meat was dry and chewy, the bun soggy, and I hate their mustard sauce!
