La Dolce Piccola is truly a gem on El Paseo! This family-run gelateria is new in Palm Desert, and we can’t say enough good things about it.

First, let me rave about their chocolate chip cookies. Hands down, they are the BEST cookies we’ve ever had in our lives—soft, perfectly baked, and loaded with the most decadent chocolate, you can tell the owners take pride in sourcing. We are completely obsessed and grab them every chance we get.

The gelato is equally incredible—so rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. My family loves trying different flavors, and it’s always a hit. I also really like getting their lattes when I have time and the owners always remember what milk I prefer which is very much appreciated, detail and care go into their work.

The shop itself is: modern, super clean, and beautifully decorated. The family who runs it are kind and welcoming.

It’s clear this place has a deep passion for quality and for offering good service to the community, I see the owners there daily working so hard, running a small business takes ALOT so send them some love and care. From the pristine cleanliness of the store to the carefully chosen ingredients, everything is done with pride and heart. If you’re on El Paseo, you absolutely have to stop by. It was a hot evening in the Springs...we had just finished a fantastic meal, and we were hoping by some off chance a Gelato shop would be around within wandering distance...and INCREDIBLE! A brand new store had just opened 2 days before , so we eagerly went in...we had to muscle our way past a few teenagers out for the night, but we prevailed! Although the delectable treats were difficult to choose from , tastes were offered without hesitation, and so without a second thought, we got double scoop combos and still fought over each other's chosen delights. All flavors & choices were made fresh and on site. Tempting tasty Sorbet was available as well. Fresh pastries beautifully made by the owner's wife were on display behind clean cooled glass. . This place is the BEST! There's always a line out the door and you only need to try their gelato and desserts to understand why! They have an amazing selection of delicious fresh gelato, all made with premium ingredients, and their cakes and tarts are incredible! My favorites are the carrot cake and chocolate chip cookies, and I love being able to take a pint of gelato home for later. The customer service is always fast and friendly, and you really get the sense that the owners care about the quality of their ingredients and making sure their customers leave with a smile on their faces. I recommend this place more often than any other because I know that you are never going to be disappointed. If you haven't tried it yet, you owe it to yourself to stop in next time you are in...
