Jelly Donut — Restaurant in Palm Springs

Oh, Jelly Donut. If I could write a novel, I would. But I’ll get to the point. I’ve been coming to this spot for over two decades. I’m by no means a regular, but the owner and his wife seem to treat me like I am. Every. Time. Their service is always so welcoming and they deserve the world. Bar none. Beats any restaurant, diner, shop, etc.

I don’t just take service into account as to why I love this place so much. Whenever asked, “Where are the best donuts out here?” Or “What are the best donuts I’ve ever had?” My answer, with God as my witness is this:

“Jelly Donut. On Vista Chino and Sunrise. Near the Albertsons and (now, steel) gym.”

These donuts are not your typical Swiss donut, winchells, or gas station donuts. No no. You can feel the underside crust, the right amount of sugar, the dough itself feels so much more fresh than anywhere else, it doesn’t leave a weird after taste like others do. And trust me, I’ve looked high and low for a donut as good as this place.

Locals, please continue to support this wonderful shop. Tourists/Snowbirds. Do yourself a favor and stop by to pick yourself up some of the best donuts you’ll ever eat.

Saw the great reviews for their donuts, but also they have Pho! I think we tried going to a couple breakfast spots first, but the wait times were too long. Pho, coffee & fresh donuts sounded like a good option on a rainy Sunday. Easy parking. No wait. Outside has a ton of seating & has old gas pumps for some fun pics. Inside has about 6 tables. We shared a veggie pho, taco dumplings, a coffee & a donut and were plenty stuffed for the long drive ahead. Pho was really good & hit the spot on a cold rainy day. I think they use Cafe du Monde coffee cause there were tons of their coffee tins there. I regret not getting more donuts for the road cause it was light & crisp, not too sweet but just right. Definitely a great option if you need to grab something to go or want to sit down to eat without the wait times most...

A fantastic donut shop! Nothing fancy here except an offering a selection of perfect donuts with super friendly service. I came here very early on a Saturday to ensure the best selection of fresh donuts. I got a dozen ranging from raspberry filled, chocolate cake donut, butter bar and apple fritter; to name a few. I also got a bag of donut holes. The donuts are amazing, no oily taste at all. Like some other reviewers had mentioned the donut holes are fluffy and melt in your mouth deliciousness.
