The food smelled wonderful. It's a shame we didnt get to have any.
Service was so beyond terrible.
My BF and I waited 20 minutes to get seated, and watched older couples come in and immediately get a booth. Right as we were about to leave, we got seated.
We sat and then played another waiting game of waiting for some to at least wait us and get us water. We watched our waiter and the general manager try and cater to the older couples and take their order when we were waiting to order before they came in.
10 minutes passed and i eventually kept waiving to a waiter to at least get us water. Someone finally decided to get us chips and didnt bother taking our order (we knew what we wanted before being seated). we finally just left.
It's very fustrating when businesses assume that the people who look older than me (I'm 28 and short), and to assume that they have more money to spend when I had a wallet full of cash and I wanted to try something new and to support a local...
Read moreDelicious food and amazing customer service! As someone that doesn’t care for airport food, I was desperate to get one last good Palm Springs meal to take to the airport. And I wanted the best burrito I could find. After doing some research and finding La Perlita, I decided to call in my order. When I arrived, my meal was ready to go! And to my pleasant surprise, I discovered at the airport, she wrote a sweet note, “Have a Safe Flight! :)” ... the extra special touch was so kind. And to match that wonderful service, the burrito was delicious. The asada was cooked perfectly and the burrito was so full of flavor! Whenever I’m back in Palm Springs I will be sure to...
Read moreAfter getting off a plane in Palm Springs, I headed over to La Perlita based on the previous reviews. It did not disappoint and the high marks are completely deserved.
Had the Chili Verde and it was excellent and had tons of flavor. Rice and Beans were also flavorful. You can judge a Mexican joint by its Rice and Beans. Chips were good and the Salsa was a little different than I’m used to. Had good flavor but was loose, kind of watery.
Sat at the bar, but did not have a drink. From the looks of it though, margaritas must be good as they were slinging a ton of them for 3pm on a Monday afternoon.
Service was phenomenal, multiple bartenders/waitstaff checked in on me.
Atmosphere was what you would expect at a strip mall type restaurant. Basic, no frills. But I don’t really care about atmosphere when the food is wonderful. Extremely clean restaurant.
Would...
