Rated Comics — Local services in Palm Springs

I don't know where to begin, the prices on these books are 3 and 4 times the prices of any comparable shop. A standard exclusive from 60 to 90 dollars is unheard of. Especially when you do not do set discounts. Thats insane. I was gifted a book from this shop and the level of excess costs that went into the packing was unbelievable, and not in a good way. From expensive mailers, to needless foam, to branded hard backer boards it was all unnecessary and driving unwanted costs to customers. I shop with countless online retailer and love to support shops and the artists they work with. I would love for Rated to look in at their practices and the market itself to find a way to correct this. There's a reason yall aren't selling gangbusters of these exclusives when you should be. Not sure why yall haven't figured out you can't charge customers 4 times the going rate. I've left comments on your social media about this. Instead of responding, yall just delete my posts. The community would love to support you guys, just have to allow us.

Nice small business. I get the impression that they do more online business than in-store but I may be wrong. Store is pretty small, at least the customer area, so not a huge assortment to look thru. But it did look like they have a really large back room, so perhaps they do have lots in stock.

The young man at the counter was really helpful. I collect, obviously, and had a few questions about specific items. He answered them quickly.

I ended up buying a 3-pack of store specials (BRZRKR #12 if any of you know what that means). Nice books. Had bunches in stock. He packaged them up nicely secured in a box for my flight home (in town visiting family).

Second time I try to sell my bulk on Sundays and the guy was either busy when I arrived or he stright up lied and said he'd be there a certin time then closes early and gets an attitude when told about it wish there were more honest shops out here in the valley!
