I live very close to this restaurant and wanted to try it since it opened. My husband and I went without a reservation, but showed up at 5 p.m. and secured a seat at the bar. Lets get to it...The food is overpriced and not that great. That is unfortunate but true. The menu is very small and has issues...for example why would you only offer Swordfish for a fish option. I have worked at restaurants for many years and am an avid cook...I know as most do that Swordfish is a very polarizing fish...people love it or hate it...So why would a restaurant pick that as their only dinner fish option??? Why not Grouper or Snapper or some other fish that appeals to most people who eat fish? Moving on, my husband ordered the oysters...They had clearly been pre-shucked (which was confirmed by the bartender) and were DRY...all their beautiful Oyster liquor was gone because they had been pre-shucked and it evaporated. The bartender could tell my husband wasn't happy and just said "I'll give your input to the kitchen" Not the correct response! Then I got the clams appetizer, the clams were fresh and good...the broth they were in was bland and lacking flavor...It really needed a little salt and a punch of acidity...like a squeeze of lemon...For dinner my husband got the Fun Guy pizza...On the menu it says it has Prosciutto Cotto on it...That is just confusing for diners who are expecting its way more common cousin Prosciutto di Parma to come out...the two types of ham are completely different...Prosciutto Cotto reminds me of deli ham...it is not usually smoked...where Prosciutto di Parma is smoked and aged...The pizza would have been WAY better with Prosciutto di Parma. Moving on I had the Flat Iron Steak and it was actually tender and good...problem is it was I want to say $42...(I have to guess at that price from memory because there are no prices on their online menu) Flat Iron is a very inexpensive cut of steak and there is no way they should be charging $42 for it...another example of the high prices was there Beef Short Rib which I wanna say was $62 on the menu...Uh no I will go to Chef Adrianne's and get every bit as good short rib and same size or bigger for $45...come on with the prices guys...so in summary they need to stop trying to be overly artistic or fancy with inexpensive ingredients...and give people good food at a good price....If not... in this area, they will not make it...We know what's fair and what is not when it comes to prices and ingredients....They need some time to work out the kinks and I hope they do, because I am always rooting for new...

Went in at 8:30 , the server told us the kitchen was backed up and advised to order right away , so we ordered a flat bread to start and 4 entrees , 2 of the entrees they where sold out of which wasn’t an issue but only having 12 items or so on the main courses made it hard to choose much of anything other then the filet . We brought our own wine since we didn’t know what was on the menu since it’s not posted online . All the waiters seemed very young and in experienced as I was given a wine key to open my own bottle … waiter was very nice and apologized about 10 times as we were waiting for a flatbread . An hour had passed by and still no flatbread . All the other guest didn’t have food in front of them either . So after an hour we asked the waiter to pack the food up and bring us the bill . They did comp most of the meal (a $150 discount ) but after waiting an hour for a flatbread that never came I could only imagine how much longer the entrees would take . Two members of the party of 4 left and left the other two there to retrieve the food to go . I run a restaurant my self and was watching everything happen and it was just not very organized . The only manager on duty and the owner were working in the kitchen trying to get the food out so I can understand how frustrating it must be for them but a word of advice , if your not ready to open limit the amount of reservations you take and space out the reservations more so your kitchen doesn’t get slammed with orders all at the same time . Still waiting for the other two members of the party to call us to come pick them and I don’t even know when that will be …. Took my mother in law out for her 60th birthday and it was definitely a nightmare . I knew it was going to be bad because you just opened but I had no idea you couldn’t even make a flatbread within an hours time . And the entrees even longer . Sadly I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon . But the place does...
Read moreWe walked in with a 7pm reservation, we arrived a little early so we were seated on time. However, come 7:35 we still don't have anyone come to the table to greet us or even offer us water. We went for my brother's birthday and around 7:45 he went in to speak to the hostess, some minutes later the server arrived.
He took our drink order and appetizers. My sparkling water and my dad's beer took forever to come out and then the server finally took our food order. Around 20 minutes after the food order was placed, he comes out to let me know that they don't have my order, the Spicy Vodka pasta at the moment. At this time, I'm upset because I am notified when everyone else is close to receiving their food. He tells me that the manager will come out to speak with me. The manager comes out some minutes later, and he does not apologize for the delay any of us have gone through and just asks me what I want instead. I'm a vegetarian and the options are extremely limited, by this point I'm not even hungry anymore but I order the flatbread anyways in case I'm hungry when it comes out.
When the entrees for everyone else come out, they're cold. I ordered the chili crunch broccolini and as you can see by the picture there was no chili crunch only sea salt on them, and super cold, definitely not worth the $8 price tag as they had no flavor. The lasagna (both orders) were super cold, my brother said that it was okay. My sister in law stated that the steak wasn't that great and it was also cold.
The flatbread was comped which was nice, but after waiting that long, no apologies and getting all the entrees cold, I would have expected a little more.
The best part of the meal was the bread rolls, which you also have to pay for.
After looking forward to this restaurant opening, it was extremely disappointing from the food to the service from the server AND the manager. I was...
