Omochinut & Boba — Restaurant in Palmetto Bay

Upon entering I felt like this was going to be a different experience. I saw the cute signs and decor but the ambiance just felt off. I looked up to find one of the employees almost to the point of tears. The service was good as they had given us time to choose but couldn’t help but feel bad for that one employee. We finally ordered and sat down, they had began cleaning tables and the floor. Pretty hygienic. We were served our drink and eventually our Korean corn dog. I’ve had better teas, and I can’t quite comment on if the boba was good or not as I had gotten it with popping boba. The tea and Korean corn dog was good but I wouldn’t say it was great. Something had just felt off about the entire experience. Not to mention, as we were sitting and trying to enjoy our selections the employees were having quite an explicit conversation that entailed somebody getting “freaky deaky” as they had put it. This place is really cute, I had been meaning to try them out for some time and I can say it’s pretty good. One thing I noticed right off the bat was how elaborate their drinks were. I tried the taro frappe with cheese foam and I was not in love with it but it was okay. The flavor was interesting but a bit too sweet for me. The cup was super cute with a heart on the lid and the store’s logo on the side. Very photogenic.

Their donuts though I loved. I tried the churro, cookies & cream and chocolate. Each tasted great, it had a fantastic consistency and it was not too much overall.

They do have some other savory items that looked good but I’m not sure I would go back primary because the service was a bit slow (not the worse just not fantastic) and the place looked a bit dirty around the sitting area by the window. I absolutely adore this place. I've been going for the last 2 months, and it never disappoints. Every drink and food item I've tried so far is phenomenal. I'm addicted to the hot Cheeto corn dogs and their boba brown sugar latte. I was pleasantly surprised they made actual espresso rather than using some premade coffee powder. It's the only thing that gets me through my 12-hour shifts. The workers are so friendly and take the time to explain every menu item in detail and genuinely seem to care whether or not you leave the shop happy!
