Hidden Gem Beauty Bar — Local services in Palmetto Bay

Would not recommend this place at all! Staff does not listen and do whatever they want as they rush you so they can take their next victim. The owner cancelled/tried to reschedule an appointment half hour before the time, claiming she was “behind”. I live super far and was already on my way; had no choice but to let them put 2 people to do a disaster on my hair! On Morher’s day I had my hair done by male stylist; when I arrived at the salon his greeting was “Everyone is out/on their way home ready to celebrate Mother’s Day and here I am stuck by myself and still working!” He cut my mask time to 5 minutes because he was “double booked”; he not listen and just rushes through to take the next person. Paid $10 extra for waves which didn’t even last through the night!

Another stylist last week joined the male stylist and basically just pulled my hair and did a horrendous job! I wasted $65 for nothing!

I even Overheard one of the owners speaking to the employees in a demeaning way in front of the customers; not a pleasant atmosphere to be around! I sent a long text to complaint and instead of someone calling me, they wrote back to tell me “we are not the right salon for you”; which says a lot and proves my point - they are unprofessional and just want to grab your money without caring if you’re happy about their bad services!

Save your money and go to a place where they care and the atmosphere is relaxing and professional; this place is NOT! Far from it!

This place will rush you through claiming they’re a “fast paced salon” and just take your money.

I mean $65 for a blow dry in Kendall?! Unbelievable! A rip off! Save your money; is NOT WORTH IT!

In the past, I would only get haircuts/highlights once a year as a treat to myself. After Millie cut my hair I realized I just never had a good haircut before. Millie is a curly hair expert and gave me my dream wedding hair. She scheduled a consultation with me beforehand to go over my hair vision and she nailed it. Now I’m actually excited to get my hair cut instead of being scared or nervous. I know I can trust Millie to make me feel beautiful. I plan to start getting my hair cut more frequently now every three months instead of once a year. I highly recommend Millie to all curly haired girlies. She’s truly amazing and so sweet. Spectacular service at Hidden gem Beauty Bar! Karina Matto is a master at coloring and making sure you get what you want. Shout out to Loren who is very passionate about helping anyone who needs it, she spent hours on my hair ( I have A LOT!) from helping with coloring, to washing, to drying, to curling. The vibe I got while there was fierce, smart, artistic women from all different backgrounds working together to make a killer team. All the other stylists were amazing as well!
