Our first time here, and we were excited to come because itās right by our new place! Less than a five minute drive away.
My wife got the americano and one of the everything croissants. She said her pastry and drink were both good. Only critique from her was that the americano was very small ā just an 8oz size. Not sure if they provide other sizes, we just ordered it without asking about size.
I got a dirty ube latte with oat milk ā delicious. Iām excited to come back to try their other speciality drinks, as well as pour overās once they come in.
Very excited to have a new coffee shop in our neighborhood that is just a quick walk or drive away. The service was very friendly ā wish I had gotten the barista at the registerās name so I could shout him out. But will add his name in a later review if I get it. Edit: his name is Mark. Lex is also very warm and welcoming as well.
The wait time was reasonable given how busy they were. The interior design of their shop is nice and simple. Mostly whiteās, with a wooden bench all the way across the side of the cafe for people to sit and work. Thereās also a nice bar top wooden table next to the window with a nice view of the trees outside that my wife and I sat at while we waited for our coffee today.
Welcome to midtown Palo Alto, Covour Coffee! Hope this place stays around and we get a chance to make it a regular spot for us on our days off.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreCovour, where coffee meets flavor. This Asian fusion contemporary roaster tucked away in the sleepy part of Palo Alto delivers on the classics as well as incorporating flavors like mango lychee, ube, and matcha.
The simple exterior hides away a minimalist and contemporary space thatās great for enjoying a cup of coffee, working, or catching up with friends. White walls with a touch of natural wood and a few textures are there to break up the monotonousness. The parking situation is not it though; the lot is narrow, one way with few tiny parking spots.
The drinks are smooth, rich, and flavorful. They use high quality matcha. Despite offering unique flavors, the actual coffee is simple and they let the natural flavors speak for themselves. That being said, youāre definitely paying a premium for it.
They offer pastries but they are outsourced from local bakeries.
The staff is friendly and efficient. Despite the long lines, they move fast.
Overall, while this is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood and a lovely spot, Iām not necessarily convinced the final product and experience justify the premium price. Bay Area locals are spoiled by an endless number of some of the best, most creative and flawlessly executed roasteries. While Covour may be able to get 5 stars somewhere else, given the competition at that price point, I canāt really give them more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCovour Coffee is a hidden gem, though a bit tricky to find at first; we actually missed it on our first pass and had to turn around. Parking is also quite tight, so I can only imagine how challenging it gets on a busy weekend.
I tried the Madagascar Vanilla Latte, while my husband had the Burnt Honey Latte on one visit and the Matcha Latte on another. Every drink we had was delicious and well-balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness. My vanilla latte was especially delightful.
For food, we ordered the mushroom tart and a panda mochi. Both were great, but I do wish they had offered to warm the mushroom tart. It would have been perfect with just a little heat, especially since I noticed a toaster behind the register.
The shop itself is bright and inviting, with a beautiful large window that fills the space with natural light. Itās a great spot to sit and enjoy a well-crafted drink. Overall, a lovely coffee shop with high-quality drinks and a welcoming atmosphere. Just be prepared for the...
