Namaste Indian Cuisine in Palo Alto is, without a doubt, one of the best Indian restaurants in the Bay Area—easily making my top three! From the moment we stepped in, we were captivated by the restaurant’s warm, moody ambiance, beautifully adorned with gold-plated water vases, intricate artwork, and a cozy yet upscale feel. It’s the kind of place that invites you to settle in and enjoy a truly authentic experience.
Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely phenomenal. We ordered the Lamb Vindaloo, Vegetable Biryani, Aloo Gobi, and the Meat Platter, and every dish delivered bold, vibrant flavors that rang true to traditional Indian cuisine. The Lamb Vindaloo was rich and spicy, with tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat. The Vegetable Biryani was fragrant, fluffy, and packed with a perfect blend of spices. The Aloo Gobi was a beautiful balance of textures, and the Meat Platter was a carnivore’s dream—each piece cooked to perfection, juicy, and incredibly flavorful.
The service was just as impressive as the food—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure we had everything we needed while still allowing us to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace.
Namaste Indian Cuisine is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors in a beautiful setting with top-notch service. This spot has set the bar high, and I can’t...
Read moreNamaste has been our go to restaurant for our special occasions . We love the food . But yesterday we had a weird experience. The one who took our order has been rude to us and felt like he was judging us . Like we went around 8 pm with reservation and asked for a table we like one table he said it’s a big table for 5 and seated us on a table of 4. We thought it was ok . Later I see after 15 min he let another couple take that 5 seater table . I was surprised with the way he treated them . It didn’t end there he gave us the menu and we were asking for portion size of soup like that and he was talking to us in a very sarcastic way like how much do you expect for soup bowl like that I got angry . Later my husband was asking for spicy level of food and recommendations it felt like He was not at all interested in taking our order . My husband after getting out of the restaurant told me only one thing even though we love the food at Namaste we are never setting our foot down here again . We don’t deserve to be treated like that . We are paying for food you are not giving us charity . By writing this post I Just wanted to bring attention to the...
Read moreMy frequent dining experiences at Namaste Indian Cuisine have been exceptional. Located right on California Ave in Palo Alto, this cozy eatery exceeded all my expectations.
The inviting aroma of spices is very welcoming, the tasteful decor is top-notch creating an ambiance that is warm and inviting. The host and staff are very friendly, attentive and welcoming. I've been to other Namaste locations in Los Gatos and Santa Cruz. All have great food and unique characteristics, this Palo Alto location looks like a fine dining establishment with superior setup and elegant ambience.
Food at this location is probably one of the best Indian cuisines I've tried in US. Corn malai tikki, stuffed mushroom and paneer shashlik are my and my family's favorites. My daughter loves their butter chicken. Naan has the perfect texture and taste. We usually get Oyster Mushroom curry that my wife totally loves.
The portion sizes were generous, and the quality of ingredients was evident in every bite.
Overall, I can't recommend Namaste Indian Cuisine enough. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this restaurant is...
