My boyfriend and I were in the area as his daughter was getting married. We had been at her fiances family ranch, and the wedding and reception venue on Hawes Farm, and needed to grab a bite before getting back to work for the wedding the next day. We were on our way to In-N-Out Burger but passed Palo Cedro Inn in the way and a steak sounded good. Definitely weren't clear on the fact that we had to barbecue it ourself but that would have been okay. However...we chose a high table on the left and our drink orders were taken. I was told that the lemon drop was fresh lemons?? It was the worst lemon drop I ever had and didn't taste like it had any vodka in it. It had been a long day and I was really looking forward to a good cocktail too. So next order it was a vodka cranberry because you can't screw that up. I had been really thirsty though and couldn't even get the server's attention for water for the longest time but the people sitting next to us at a low table had been given water right away which is what should happen, and they had salads! They had a server that was on the ball! After another 30 minutes I asked if we could put in our order because we were really hungry. She had said 3x she'd be right over and that did not happen. That is when we found out that it would take over an hour to be able to even be in line to cook our steak!! We asked what they could make for us then that we didn't have to cook ourselves? The ONLY option was some fried choices so we placed an order and salads. We needed to get going and we were really hungry. Sat there for another 30 minutes and finally asked her when our salads would be on the table that we were hungry and had to get back to our wedding tasks for our kids. She told me they hadn't been up the last time she went there to check. Been up? That's a term usually used for something that's being cooked. But whatever...she FINALLY brought us our salads so who knows how long that had been waiting for us. After waiting another 30 minutes, we had been sitting there for over 1.5 hours at that point, we asked about our calamari and chicken strips?? Never mentioned a clue about that to us and then the server told us it's a very tiny frying container and it wasn't our turn yet!!? So we had to go... and canceled our dinner order!! So we wasted over 1.5 hours, paid for mediocre drinks and two salads, and left hungry and went next door and bought beef sticks from the quick mart. We were thankful that was there! I will never ever ever go back to that restaurant. And would NEVER recommend. When we returned to the kids and told them where we'd been all that time and didn't eat, they said they wish they'd known and said they would have told us NOT to go there. So live and learn ... we will not go when we're up there in the future. Worst restaurant...
Read moreBeen in the past for family dinners, and this year decided to take my father-in-law out for dinner for his birthday, the interior wasn’t terrible, however, bugs were crawling on our table, and there was dead bugs next to me in the windows, very uncomfortable, for just three people, my partner included, we waited almost an hour and a half to just receive our salad, not our food, the waiter did not once come check on us to top off drinks or anything, and when my father-in-law got us a couple drinks to which he had to physically go up to the bar to get some drinks, the bartender, not asking for his ID at the bar decided to come up to our table and scream at us “Are you serious? Did you guys seriously just do that?!” to our faces and demanding for our ID’s causing the entire crowd in the restaurant to look our way making me extremely uncomfortable, however, willingly I gave her my ID as I am 22 years old. She then came back after being in the wrong and changed her story and told us it was our waiter that reported it to her and that she didn’t see us drink at all. It felt totally inappropriate to be screamed at for my ID, will not be coming back, service was terrible, we never received our food and decided to close our tab which was one drink and left as we felt uncomfortable by the entire situation. Will not be going again, and will be telling friends and family to not go eat there. I understand asking for ID’s but there’s no reason to scream in a persons face, and not even say please...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped to have dinner after a meeting at the school. When we walked in it wasn’t even busy there was several tables open. The lady sat us at a dirty table asked what we wanted to drink. We order a beer and margarita. We waited probably 20 minutes (we lost track of time talking). I sat and watched as our server eat French fries and chat at the bar. Finally my husband goes to the bar tender who pointed at our glasses and said they are made and to just wait for her to bring us them. Now in the mean time our server went to the table near us twice and cleaned another table. Finally my husband goes back to the bar and tells her to just give us our drinks. He brings them back and we continue chatting and finished our drinks all the while still having been forgotten about somehow. We went to the bartender and paid for the drinks and said we were leaving because we were tired of waiting. The server then said “oh I’m sorry it’s just so busy” keep in mind it was now and the place is now more empty than it was when we got there.
This is absolutely ridiculous to me because we have been there when it was in fact busy and got way better service.
I’d like to add when I say it wasn’t busy there was only 3 tables with people us...
