Meshico — Restaurant in Palos Township

Stopped in Saturday after walking around lake Katherine. Few hours before closing time. Ordered our food and our server was so incredibly nice! Not the fake nice you can tell when its not genuine..anyways i had got the chimichanga and there was no option for steak instead of the chicken. I had asked if it was ok if i could switch the chicken and without hesitation she was happy to do so. Usually if its not on the menu places dont like to switch out (i’ll gladly pay the extra). We had gotten our food and there was your hot sauce but i was hoping they had some HOT stuff. So i asked if they had hotter hot sauce. She immediately said “Yeah of course!”. We had looked at each other and said wow she’s super nice! She had grabbed the hot sauce and had given it to me and checked up on us after a few minutes to make sure everything was good. With resounding yes’s around the table! We were finished eating and we had got lost in conversation and it was close to closing time and we had got up to leave.

As we were getting ready to leave; the staff was eating together (guessing friends or family) all said thank you and have a good night! Very shortly after the cook peaked his head out above the kitchen counter and had also said have a good night and thanked us. That has been by far the BEST experience EVER..what a genuinely kind staff; seriously wow. Thank you all. I promise to be back and will make sure to let others know. Wish you all...

Having tried an array of many different dishes. I can tell you, each time I've tried something new, I am more and more impressed with what they have to offer. You will not be disappointed with anything you order here!

Let me tell you, walking into this restaurant will make you feel right at home! Stepping in, you'll be welcomed to a beautifully designed restaurant, all put together by the family: to sheek floors, smooth wood tables, and plenty of booths.

In fact, speaking of family! You can expect great service from the wonderful staff who are lovely to talk to and willing to make sure that you're full and satisfied. In addition to making sure things tighty and clean for when you come and visit.

I don't even know where to begin to express how incredible of an impression this restaurant has left me. The kindness and quality of it all definitely has me wanting to come back.

The steak torta was juicy and filling with the right touch of ingredients. The rice was really good along with the beans!

The chicken torta was tender and juicy as well with such a fluff of bread to the touch.

The Birria tacos were the juiciest and cheesiest I've had from anywhere along with their motor oil broth (just joking, I just call them all that as it was still super delicious as well)

And for dessert, the cheesecake was so smooth to the taste while the churros were very crunchy and Delicious, and even came with 3 different dips to try with! That was an awesome experience.
