Golden Shoes was recommended by the rounding podiatrist at my mom's assisted living (Evergreen Senior Living). She has a spur on her left heel that's quite painful, so the Dr. said GS sells cushy shoes that could give her some relief. My mom is 88
I phoned Monday, 4/29 at about 5:45 pm. The lady said she'd have to call me back, as the store was slammed. OK. Well, around 8 pm, Camille called back. I said, "It can wait until tomorrow; go home!" She said, "You sounded kind of desperate, so I called tonight." We ran through the situation and she assured me they could help.
My mom had a Dr. appt. on Thursday, 5/2, so I wanted to kill a couple of birds while she was out anyway. Camille told me she might not be in when we came, but Mike could take care of us. And boy, did he! She hadn't be back of 5 minutes at Evergreen before receiving two compliments on the shoes. It's not about the fashion, but rather the comfort/relief the shoes bring. She said it was about 80% better.
Mike was so kind, patient, professional, but relaxed; great sense of humor, too! I can't say enough about Golden Shoes, their staff and selection. We frequent restaurants nearby, but never knew the store existed. I'm so thankful Dr. Maureen recommended it. Without a doubt, I'd go there again AND recommend it to others!
Thank you...
Read moreI can not say enough good things about this business! Special shout out to Camille and Marian!!! 😘 Mwah, ladies! Knowledge, patience and selection are my top three pluses for this store! My mom introduced me to the store when she was shopping for herself a few years ago. I couldn't believe how knowledgeable and thorough they were in determining her size and her needs. I'm 65 and can still remember the incredible personalized service we used to get when we were kids at places like Thom McCann shoes and other family owned businesses. Golden Shoes and their staff is exactly the same. Since my mom's shoes, we have gone their with her friend who has dementia and once again I was SO impressed with their knowledge and patience. Then came my turn. My podiatrist told me I needed good shoes, no more $15 bobo sneakers for me. ☹️ I immediately thought of Golden Shoes, knowing that I needed people who knew what they were talking about and had a huge selection of merchandise. I was not disappointed. 😀 I was given such personalized service I almost cried. If you want a humanizing experience when buying shoes and want to assured you're getting the best service, find your way to Golden Shoes. HIGHLY...
Read moreI grew up coming to Golden and was very excited to bring my toddler in for his first “real” shoes and to carry on a 40+ year family tradition. The shoes are fine albeit overpriced, this is about customer service. I think some of the employees might need a class in niceties. My toddler slipped out of my hand and ran into their back room. I’m sure it happens twenty times a day. He wasn’t the first nor will he be the last. I understand he’s not allowed back there for safety reasons. Anyone who knows anything about children, toddlers especially, knows that they love to slip out of your grasp and take off. That is exactly what happened. I went to retrieve him, we were walking out (so back there a whole 30 seconds). A woman employee stopped me, was particularly nasty with me. She even MOM-SHAMED me. I got mom shamed for retrieving my kid for doing exactly what kids do. I’m not one of those people that react to every little thing . I also know that my child isn’t a perfect angel that does no wrong. I think it’s was completely unnecessary to yell and mom-shame me for correcting his behavior. Needless to say, no one in my family will ever be returning. They just lost several lifetime customers....
