Taco Bell — Restaurant in Palos Township

So tonight I went into Taco Bell. My order was $19.26. I gave the guy in the drive-through a $20. I gave him five singles 15 and a single 10. He then asked me if I had $.26 and I responded no. So he continued on and I thought nothing of it. I figured he just didn’t have change or just didn’t want to break the dollar. I could’ve just given him $.26 instead of a whole dollar . My change was supposed to be $.74 which I did not receive. So I address the guy in the drive thru..his response was that I only gave him four singles. Which I know I didn’t because I had literally just counted my money out. In this instance, I believe that my change was kept. Long story short I think that they’re stealing from the customers. Or someone is stealing from the company out of the registers. Because I know exactly what I gave him, and he tried to pull the wool over my eyes and tell me that I did not give him exactly what I just counted. I’ve been to the Taco Bell a few times and I’ve dealt with rude employees. I’ve also dealt with very professional employee in this case the employee that I dealt with happens to be a manager. I found that out when I pulled off and called and he was the person who answered the phone , when I asked to speak to a manager, he told me that he was. I am not comfortable with this Taco Bell. At this point. The quality of the food is not great. The customer service is not great. Now it looks like there’s a stealing problem. It’s not worth it , every time I come there it’s a bad experience and I’ve been eating Taco Bell since I was 14 when I worked there as a teenager and I’m 30 now. This Taco Bell has made me not want to visit another Taco Bell. Lately their employees are young and very ignorant. Even the older ones act like they don’t even want to be at work. Hospitality is a must in customer service . I wish that they would get it together and have a more friendly, welcoming staff and preferably people who don’t steal and are given the customers their change back. FYI, this restaurant really deserves zero stars. The food is even not that good. The food is like the service is a hit or miss. Shaking my head Taco Bell. This used to be one of my favorite places to eat and now I hate it. The situation I experience tonight made me very upset. Regardless of the fact it was a small amount of change. It was the fact that I did not receive it back to me, and the fact that the employee try to make it seem as if I did not give them exactly what I gave them. Nobody is going to steal from me. I went to Taco Bell with my dad. whenever I ordered from the drive through the always exclude something. Today may 14th 2023 I went and told the lady taking my order I went through everything slowly and clearly. once I got my order I realized 1 Mexican pizza was missing and one chalupa.they didn’t charge me for the Mexican pizza only chalupa.On the receipt it says no tomato’s. Once they made it I checked and there was tomato’s I told them 3 times no tomato’s. at this point I’m just done. I told her I ordered 2 Mexican pizza’s and she only gave me one so we paid for the Mexican pizza.but she ordered 2 Mexican pizza’s. my dad had corrected her and she canceled my order not telling us. We wait there 10 minutes. Remind you we walked in 2:42PM it’s now 3:02 my dad and I and still waiting, my dad tells her we are still waiting and she just had told us she canceled the order. My dad is angry now, my dad was asking her why she canceled it and she said “I don’t know what language your talking,I don’t understand you speak English” and goes on and tells my dad to speak English (my dad knows fluent English ) this lady had a name necklace and she was black skin and claimed to be the manager. Im so mad with this service and this racism given my dad is a brown skinned man who has been in America and knows the language for 30+ years I will never be going back to this Taco Bell and am disgusted with this...

So i placed an order through taco bell app this evening. Went to drive thru and gave them my name. They said Who, thinking there was an owl around. No but seriously had to repeat it over few times also giving last name initial.

I'm told to pull forward, when getting to the window the gentleman asks me to make a lap. I Asked him if he wanted me to pull up to drive thru again? YUP, that's what he asked. I politely agreed.

When I got back to drive thru speaker Noone(only had 2 cars behind me)was left in line. Went to window and my drinks were given to me immediate after my food. I was literally confused.

Having worked at another fast food chain as teenager, I get what he was trying to do. He wanted to keep his drive thru times down (from time i pulled to window initially to time i pulled back to window was approx. 15 seconds). When I pulled around again didn't even have to stop until I got to window again.

I believe he should have just parked me and said we will bring the food to you. Or Secondly just cleared the order before giving me food if he really wanted improve the stores times. I almost felt like I was being ranked but noone jumped out the bush to reveal the prank. Lastly I had to go back for wrong food order. Just frustrating when you spend $68 and they can't...
