Chubby's Burrito Co — Restaurant in Pampa

We came to chubbys because it was on our way during a road trip. It was pretty packed when we got there, which we thought was a good sign. When we got in it was pretty run down and just felt grimy and icky, but hey, it was full, so the food must be good.

Nope.

We asked for the shredded brisket. They said "we don't have the brisket, our oven is down." Which is... Odd. But they have 3 other meats available? How were these cooked? We got ground beef and chicken. We went through the line and got our orders done, and sat down... My wife took one bite of her bowl and literally gagged. Not a single component was over room temp. Ground beef, queso, rice, beans, all cold. Just a bowl of cold slop. I took a bite of my burrito and besides the warm tortilla, it was the same story. Everything was cold. Not only did it taste gross, THIS IS NOT FOOD SAFE. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. I thought about trying to get a refund but we wanted to get out as fast as possible. We ended up going to Sonic and it was 100 times better, and we don't like sonic. I would consider feeding this to my dogs, but never another human.

Tl;Dr: health code violations and nasty cold slop in a run down...

Won't go back. The guy that made my burrito did a great job! The girl that made my daughter's burrito put less than a tablespoon of meat and literally sprinkled the lettuce on, even after asking for more. $8 for a burrito that was smaller than a Taco Bell bean burrito. I thought maybe that was just how the girl made them. But she piled on the ingredients for the man behind my daughter. I don't know if it was a racial issue or what, but it was 100% discriminatory for some reason. I asked her to remake the burrito. They wouldn't. I ended up l having to buy another burrito that she made exactly the same way. So over $30 for essentially 2 burritos. The menu wasn't clear on the way they charge you for a burrito. When I checked put I had ended up with a 15.00 burrito! Most I have ever spend on a burrito! The lady that waited on me seemed confused when I was asking questions about how everything worked there as it was the first time I had ever eaten there and wasn't sure how they made things or the way they charged for things. Then by the time I got a drink it was 20 bucks for a burrito and small drink! Way to much for me and a simple burrito. It did taste good but just a mess getting it ordered.
