Edit: although I do mention the place is pricey the beignets are not for what they are I think it's a pretty good deal now back to the review. guys everybody was super nice there I didn't like the fact that everything is priced separate no combos it is very expensive unfortunately my bread was very soggy so the sandwich was not very good but it's more of a pot roast not like a roast beef sandwich so I ordered a roast beef sandwich thinking I was going to get sliced roast beef and I got a slab of Mama's pot roast on bread no offense mama but I wouldn't like it if you done it either and it was really not good at all the people were very nice the food was overpriced in my opinion because even though it was in Panama City Beach which is a tourist town it was not on the main drag though it was they're fairly close to the beach the beignets the little powdered donut things they were off the chain if you were going just to get those it's the place to be they give you a dozen for like three or four dollars and they are delicious I don't know what they're called but they're good however everything else is a la carte so what does that mean that means you got to pay for everything separate no combos and they tell you that and make it plain so blow the dust off your wallet if you're going inside everybody's very friendly also do not run in thinking you're going to get in and out of there because it is not fast food but sometimes that's for the best maybe we all need to slow down in this world but we need to know because some of us are in a hurry and get out guys this is not the place but if you're looking for beignets man these things good and I'm sure if you're a pot roast person jump on in and get you a pot roast sandwich it does taste just like Mama's pot roast....

Absolutely delicious! We ordered two shrimp PoBoys, and they were incredibly delicious. The bread was soft on the inside, but so flaky on the outside with a wonderful crunch. They know how to do it right here. I topped mine with remoulade sauce that was well made and delicious. I also tried a cup of the shrimp étouffée that was the daily special. I didn’t love the rice as it tasted like Uncle Ben’s instant, but the soup flavor was done well. It wasn’t too salty like others that I’ve had. We also got an order of three beignets that we’re moist, dense, and topped generously with powdered sugar. They were very tasty, but sadly weren’t as light, crispy, and airy as the ones that I ate at the original Cafe Du Monde in NOLA. The fried pickles that we ordered were interesting, but we didn’t particularly like them, and threw away a full basket. To their credit, they were battered and fried well, and fresh. They just weren’t our taste. The service was friendly, the food came fast, and it was all freshly made. All in all, the PoBoys were the star of the show with their exceptional fresh bread housing. For this alone I will be a repeat customer.

Wow! Is the word that comes to mind. The beignets are out of this world. They were served super hot, almost melt into my mouth and well they just did it for me! I didn’t get a photo of them because once I took a bite I couldn’t stop! I am rarely impressed with a dessert but this one is a new favorite! Ok, back to the first part of our meal here.. the sandwiches. I ordered the 9” roast beef poboy. It was delicious, very different and not your typical roast beef sandwich. The meat was tender and falling apart. The sandwich was huge and honesty could have fed two people. We also ordered a 5” muffuletta. We both didn’t love it. This was also a very large sandwich with sooo much meat. I think it was the olive spread we didn’t like. That aside, everything else here was amazing, so now we know to stick with roast beef next time. We did not try a Snow ball, but they served our drinks in the same ice and it made our drinks so yummy. So we will definitely be trying these soon! Final words: The beignets and roast beef poboy are a must!

We come to PCB every year and found this place last year. It was a really good, casual, quick meal. We were so excited to come back that this was the very first place we went upon arrival. We brought friends with us and told them how amazing it was.

When we got there, we were told that due to staffing issues they only had a limited menu. We ordered from what was available. I declined a receipt (stupidly in retrospect) While waiting for our food, one of the owners came out and greeted us, which at first I thought was nice. He proceeded to complain about how he can’t find help, etc. A group of about 10-15 people came in while he was talking. He looked at them, made a comment along the lines of “where are all these people coming from?” And still kept talking to us about how no one wants to work. He finally went back to the back, apparently to finally lend his staff a hand. He started bringing out food to us. My food never comes out. When I asked if my food was coming, he goes and finds the written ticket for our order (not the receipt of what we paid for). And shows me that my order wasn’t written down. The girl who took our order was young and seemed kind of new, so I am not really upset about an error. I’m upset about how the adult owner handled it.

He asked if I would like to re order. At that point after traveling all day and listening to him talk about how terrible todays youth is, I really just wanted to leave but my family and friends were eating their food. So I told him no thanks, and started to get up to go outside. He then asked me if I wanted an extra spoon to share my husbands food, which really just made me even more mad.

After leaving, I started adding up what we paid and I am almost positive that I paid for my food, although I can’t prove it. Our friends didn’t even like their food, nor the owners attitude. It’s quite offensive to generalize a whole generations work ethic as being slackers, when we had 4 young people with us who actually do work hard and earn their own money.

Honestly I’m embarrassed that we brought people there with the pretense of how great it was, only to end up with that kind of experience. We ended up leaving and going to whataburger. The only reason I’m giving this place more than 1 star is because our first time there actually was good. But the 2nd time was bad enough that we...

David Ellingson was very rude to my family. We were a group of 6, including two friends who were visiting. My family and friends had never ordered food off the menu, so it took them a bit longer to decide. We felt rushed to order from the start, so I began to order my usual snowball and hotdog and David’s reply was “food only”. When my brother was asking questions about the menu, David’s responses were short and hostile. My parents must have been too focused on the menu that they didn’t listen how he preferred to take a separate order for cooked food first and then take another order for snowballs. So my mom asked for a small snowball, and David yelled “FOOD ONLY, FOOD ONLY”. When we are all standing face to face… then David said “I’m gonna need a translator, and proceeded to wink at me and said “you can be my translator” and laughed out loud. I told him he was being very rude to my mom, and he proceeded to be very defensive and put his hands up in the air like he didn’t do anything wrong. My mother was very embarrassed in front of her family, friends, and all the customers who were sitting down beside us (it’s a small shop). We decided to leave and go somewhere else to eat. First of all, my mom was speaking English, and yes she has a strong accent, but so do plenty of tourists AND LOCALS that frequent Panama City beach. So; I expect customer service that treats everyone in a polite and respectful manner. Second of all, I know he understood my mom because after she ordered her snowball, he yelled FOOD ONLY at her, then proceeded to make fun of her. Lastly, let’s give him the benefit of the doubt (highly unlikely). There are so many other ways that David could have responded. Personally, when I don’t understand someone the first time, I like to kindly ask them “can you repeat that?” Or “I’m sorry can you say that one more time?”. Never make fun of someone’s accent. We have always had good experiences with the rest of the staff. The girls I usually order with are friendly and patient. I am upset and disappointed in how we were treated. I have been going to David’s Snoballs every summer ever since I was a teenager. While David Ellingson may own part of the business, he does not know how to treat his customers. I will be hesitant to return, and if I do, it will be a long time from now. I’d rather support a local business run by professional,...
