If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Hands down the worst building management I have ever experienced.
My group came for spring break with 8, and two cars. My car had four 20 year olds in it, and the other car had my friend's parents that were coming with us. The parent's car had trouble in Louisiana and we had to keep going in order to get to PCB at the time we were to be checked in. We got there and were averted away because we were not old enough, even though we had no where else to go and the parents on the phone to explain and a picture of the parent's ID who booked the condo. They proceeded to threaten police and left us stranded 13 hours away from home. We had to scramble to find a hotel since the parents wouldn't be able to make it until the next day. We lost a whole night's worth of money because of the management's inability to be flexible and cooperative.
The management also called their VACASA person (who was just a friend of the manager who worked in VACASA) and tried to tell us we booked through a different company and to call through Airbnb (which was just completely wrong...we called later to confirm it did not go through airbnb... and the listing wasnt even available on Airbnb). The manager obviously just wanted us to look like stupid kids and get us to leave. He was so obsessed with being right and having more power than us. He acted like a greasy car salesman who has a god complex.
Once the parents arrived they let us up and were being somewhat normal. They told the parents that we could have waited until midnight when there was no security guards and went up to our room (this was also the same man who threatened us with the police). When we had to find overflow parking, there was no mention of a pass for overflow parking or a fee and were told to just go on up to find a spot without a reserved sign. The next day, the same foreign security guard came up to our condo and yelled at the parents for not talking to management and demanding we pay 20 dollars for the parking fee that we were never told about. When one of them starting asking why they didnt tell us earlier, the man simply walked away and we did not see him for the rest of the trip. We are convinced this man was just trying to pocket the money.
The entire staff is there to scare you into thinking you are doing something wrong, and make you anxious the entire time you are there. They are rude and disrespectful and honestly should be fired.
If you want to enjoy your vacation do not book a condo here. The condos themselves were nice, but not worth the trouble and anxiety that went into arriving, and coming and going as we pleased to do things around the area. Get everything they say to you on video or in writing. They will contradict themselves 100 times.
This place needs serious work to be a good place to stay, including an entire new staff. This is the story that I'll tell my kids when they want to go to spring break, to avoid any place that will treat you like this. Do...
Read moreWe stayed through VRBO with Dr. George in unit 1004. When we arrived the floors and tub were dirty along with the table. The shower still had people’s hair in it and shower curtain was very dirty. Our feet were caked with dirt just from walking from front to back of unit. We cleaned some of it with the limited supplies we had. They did send someone next day to clean it which was much better but should have been there from the start and the shower curtain was still really gross.
From the first night I started getting bug bites we checked corners of bed but didn’t see anything so I thought sand fleas. Each day I had more and more and some in clusters. When we took the fitter sheet completely off we noticed a dark spot under the mattress en casement. As we unzipped it we found baby bedbugs and a dead adult one. We found this at midnight and left for somewhere else. We came back the next day to do laundry but the washer and dryer were very slow so in half a day only got 2 loads. We took the rest of anything that would fit in a washer and dryer in garbage bags and washed and dried at laundry mat. We had to leave behind about $1,000 + of items they didn’t offer to steam or treat any of our things. Our beach tents, beach wagon, pack and play, pack and play mattress, hammock chairs & footrests, 2 suitcases, 1/2 case of diapers, just to name a few. We unfortunately shrunk a few pairs of shoes in the dryer and melted our beachbag and lunch boxes in the process and bought a heat box ($200) upon our return so we could heat treat the rest of items like kids toys, book, pump bag, diaper bag, etc. we are 1 week back and still heat treating items.
We spent an entire day heat treating and washing anything by we could salvage and bagging up the rest in ziplocks and garbage bags. It was a little stressful to say the least especially while trying to keep our 1 & 4 year old out of the until so my hubby and I had to divide and conquer.
Along with that the door handle cut both my hand and my husbands - they were quick to replace next day but there were so many things overlooked in this place and it could be really nice it it was better maintained.
We wonder if they have had the bugs for a while as there was a dead adult bug, they had an encasement on one bed and not the other and what we found odd was the black marks on 1 prong of a couple outlets, maybe bugs that survived prior fumigations hit in electrical.
Of course they laughed off our requests but still met the cleaning and door handle. And they tried to say they never had bugs before we came. We have never had bugs and have a hard time believing they checked with how dirty it was upon our arrival.
They did end up refunding us but would not reimburse or help treat our big items we had no way of treating, so they benefited from getting to keep them.
I would be concerned for surrounding units to 1004 (10th floor) if any of the bugs survived fumigation and went to...
Read moreUnit 1003 The pros: WiFi is decent, the balcony is nicely sized and has a great view! Communication with the owner was okay, they did call for check in and to check about an hour after arrival we had an issue with parking and the pool bands that was addressed quickly
The CONS! (And its a lot) parking is a nightmare, but as stated it’s two parking passes the garage is just weird and very tight squeezes for a even a small suv i wouldn’t recommend larger vehicles.
When we first entered the unit: it had a very musty smell, did not have that clean inviting fresh smell to it what so ever! After you have a moment to unpack and actually look at things the unit was not clean and truly nasty. (things under the beds and couches, what looks to be a blood stain on the master comforter and sheets. (As pictured) We bought new sheets and blanket to use bc there was nothing to change it too
The vent in the bathroom leaks, and drips water. (Pictured)
Everything was very dusty, dressers, cable boxes, things that should be dusted were caked with dust, not clean at all
The coffee table was about one small Bump into before it comes crashing down, extremely rickety and not sturdy!
Couch is stained as well, sofa bed when pulled out had more trash in and under it then the dumpster did.
THE TVS WERE TERRIBLE HAD MAYBE 10 channels that actually work, it’s xfinity service but no more than a few channels actually worked, we ended up having to go buy Roku sticks just to be able to have something to watch
The shower liner was absolutely disgusting, (pictured) 🤮
I would not recommend for a family with children at all, the balcony door in the master room does not lock which can be scary for families with younger children especially with it being located on the 10th floor
The neighbor who states he lives here is very rude and will complain and tape notes to your door if there’s any type of noise even when it’s not during quiet hours, and complain about you and your family in the breezeway going in and out & when he sees you out will yell & cuss at you in the breezeway
The whole building is very very strict about smoking and even vaping, no one we were with was bothered by this rule but I could see how if your paying and you can’t even vape outside on your balcony how you could be upset.
I wouldn’t recommend this unit, especially not for the price paid & it being non refundable there wasn’t a choice of finding somewhere else, even after calling the emergency line nothing was addressed or fixed.
The condo as a whole does not offer luggage carts so good luck unloading. Its terrible as well
